Authentic Yakiniku Jukouen Amatsubo

Honkaku Yakiniku Jukouen Amatsubo is a Yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy kuroke Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) sourced from around Japan. It is located on the 3rd floor of a building tucked away in a back alley, about a 5-minute walk from Kichijoji Station.

The interior has a calm Japanese modern feel, and in addition to zashiki (tatami seating), it also has Semi-private room table seating.

Through close communication with wholesalers, they source Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) that is in the best condition at the time. Their rich house-made sweet and savory secret sauce is said to bring out the full flavor of the meat.

They hand-cut the meat after each order comes in and serve it while it is still fresh. Every cut is high quality and said to be undeniably delicious.

You can order from either the course menu or a la carte. There are also courses with All you can drink.

The photo shows the "Tenderloin garlic," which many people say is outstanding. It is a house specialty of tender Tenderloin topped with plenty of grated garlic. You can enjoy it not only a la carte, but also in almost all of the courses.

I ordered the lean meat course. This lean meat course has none of the unpleasant heaviness of beef and is really easy to eat. The meat is prepared with great care, and the volume is more than enough. Still, the Tenderloin garlic is a must, so I added it as an A la carte item. Every time, the level of Manzoku is so high that it makes me want to say thank you. The service is also very good, and I really recommend it.

They source good quality meat, with a focus on lean cuts. The specialty served with ninniku (garlic) was very tasty. The seating includes Semi-private room options and zashiki (tatami seating), so it seems easy to use for groups as well. For the price, the meat was cut thick enough to feel satisfyingly substantial.

Yakiniku Inoue Kichijoji Ten

Yakiniku Inoue Kichijoji Ten is on the third floor of a building along Motomachi-dori, a 2-minute walk from the north exit of Kichijoji Station. This is a Yakiniku restaurant where you can casually enjoy high quality kuroge wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu).

The interior is said to be a stylish and calm Japanese space. It has table seating and 6 Private rooms.

The "TRIANGLE zabuton (a rare cut from the rib side of the Chuck Eye Roll) rolled sukiyaki" in the photo is the restaurant's specialty, eaten by wrapping marinated egg and rice in zabuton.

The sauce seasoning is also tasty, and it is said to fill your mouth with rich flavor. The staff grills it into a neat triangle shape for you.

Lunch is also popular here for casually enjoying Yakiniku. In addition to lunch-only sets and courses, you can also order from the grand menu.

The restaurant's recommendation is the "9-shu Tabe-kurabe Course," where you can try 9 different cuts at once. It also comes with kimchi, namul, salad, a meal, and dessert, making it a good value option.

ねこままニャン

For the zabuton (chuck flap) maki-suki, the staff neatly folded it into a triangle and grilled it for us. Inside the meat were egg yolk and rice, seasoned with a sweet and savory sukiyaki-style sauce, and the tender meat was really delicious.

The Special Wagyu has beautiful marbling and tastes as good as you hope! The “Special loin” was especially impressive, almost melting the moment it hit my mouth. The thick cut tongue was also very satisfying and excellent. The inside of the restaurant had a calm and clean feel, and since we used a Private room, we were able to relax and enjoy our conversation.

Because they buy whole Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black cattle) and use every part of the animal, you can casually enjoy rare cuts as well. Dry aging makes the meat more tender and brings out a richer aroma and deeper flavor.

They are also open for lunch on weekends and holidays. They offer courses and sets that let you fully enjoy Yakiniku at a better value than dinner.

Pictured is the "Aging Osusume 6-Shu Tabe-Kurabe Lunch," which lets you try six kinds of Aged meat in small portions. It also comes with kimchi, namul (seasoned vegetable side dishes), two kobachi (small side dishes), rice, and soup, and it is said to be highly satisfying.

I had the Special Course. I enjoyed it from the meat explanations onward, and it had more volume than I expected. The quality of the meat was also excellent, and it was good even with just salt or wasabi. The drinks on the All you can drink menu were also solid, and I was fully satisfied even at this price. I will definitely come back again.

タツきちまる

The vividly colored meat looks so appetizing it could make your stomach growl just by looking at it. When I ate the carefully grilled meat with rice, it was unbelievably good and absolutely satisfying. I enjoyed it with beer, and it made for a fantastic meal! I’d love to come back again.

I really like this place and come here often. I’ve tried various things in the past, but the loin set meal is my favorite, so I went with that again today. I always get extra meat. Even though it is simply called loin, the plate comes with a variety of cuts, including some with more lean meat and others with more marbling, so I never get tired of it.

This restaurant stays open until morning, so it is nice and easy to drop by even after drinks, but honestly, I was surprised by how good it was. The tongue in particular was very tender yet still had a nice bite, and it was really delicious. The liver was also excellent with no off notes, and I ended up getting another serving of rice.

Hachiichi Horumon is a place I visit regularly. Fresh kimchi, Omasum sashimi, and stir-fried liver and garlic chives are must-orders. The side dishes are so good that I end up full just from those lol. My favorites are premium tongue, Colon, and liver. Of course, the day's specials are also delicious. When it comes to Horumon, this is the place!

The Private room is kept clean, and the smoke from the yakiniku (Japanese grilled meat) is quickly ventilated, so even in a Private room your clothes will not pick up any smell. The Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) carefully raised by a Kagoshima brewery producer you can know by face offers top quality flavor. I always order the premium assortment, and the yaki-shabu (lightly grilled thin sliced beef) is especially melt in your mouth good.

The samgyeopsal grilled over charcoal is consistently delicious. It has a rich sweetness from the fat, and once grilled, the outside turns nicely browned while the inside stays juicy. The aroma you only get from charcoal grilling really kicks your appetite into gear. The kimchi and namul (seasoned vegetable side dishes) served on the side are not too strongly seasoned, and they strike just the right balance when eaten with the meat.
