Izakaya Miraichizu

Izakaya Miraichizu is a yakitori izakaya located on the 4th floor of a building along Edo-dori, just a short walk from the East Exit of JR Asakusabashi Station.

The interior, marked by eye catching chochin (paper lanterns), is said to have a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. It has counter seats, table seats, and Private room seating, making it easy to use for many different occasions.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) is carefully skewered one by one by skilled chefs every day. They grill it slowly over charcoal, giving it a juicy bite and thick, satisfying texture.

The grilling is said to be just right, and both the tare sauce and salt seasoning are tasty. If you are not sure what to order, the "Omakase! 5-skewer assortment" in the photo comes recommended.

The photo shows tsukune (chicken meatball skewers) made by kneading and shaping ground chicken. It is said to be delicious, with a fragrant outside and a plump, juicy inside, and to pair perfectly with alcohol.

You can also enjoy the yakitori as part of courses that include a variety of other dishes and All you can drink. If you're getting together with people who love drinks, the A la carte All you can drink plan is also recommended.

The first thing we got was yakitori (grilled chicken skewers)! The sasami (chicken tenderloin) with wasabi and garlic was really good! The sasami was cooked with great care, so it was juicy with no dryness at all, and every time the aroma of the wasabi came through, I couldn’t stop reaching for another sip of my drink.

The yakitori has a really nice charcoal aroma, and the combination of kawa (chicken skin), sunagimo (gizzard), and seseri (neck meat) is especially great. The oden (Japanese stew) comes in many varieties, and each one is soaked with dashi broth and really warms you up. They also have a full lineup of Japanese sake and shochu, so I ended up trying all kinds of them. The staff are very attentive, and the timing of the dishes is just right.

Chicken Place Yanagibashi Ten

Chicken Place Yanagibashi Ten, tucked away on a back street about a 3-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Asakusabashi Station, is a yakitori bar where you can enjoy authentic charcoal grilled yakitori cooked over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal).

The interior is said to be a stylish space with the warmth of wood. It has counter and table seating.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), known for their large portions on each skewer, are all said to have a plump, springy texture and great flavor. You can order from just 1 skewer.

They mainly use chicken raised stress-free around Fujisan (Mount Fuji) and the Minami Alps (Southern Alps). The skewers are prepared in-house every day and served with carefully controlled grilling.

The popular "Yakitori Osusume 5-pon Course" seems to be a great value way to enjoy recommended yakitori. Instead of serving all 5 skewers at once, they bring them out one by one, freshly grilled.

They also offer several courses with All you can drink. Along with yakitori, the courses include a wide range of ethnic dishes.

Juntyy

The recommended 5-skewer assortment had just the right doneness and salt level, with the chicken wings and negima (chicken and scallion skewer) standing out in particular. They were juicy without being greasy, and the quality of the ingredients really came through. You could tell they were grilled with care. The firmer liver skewer also had no off notes and plenty of good flavor. Even tare sauce fans would be happy with how it was done.

Every dish was good, but the freshly grilled yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) and musui karee (waterless curry) were especially delicious! I ordered the course menu, and the amount was just right. Since I was seated at the counter, I could watch the skewers being grilled over charcoal right in front of me, and I also really liked that each dish was served at just the right timing to match my pace of eating.

You can enjoy delicious yakitori (grilled chicken skewers)! I was surprised by how good it was for the price. The service was good too. It has a lively atmosphere, but some people came on their own, so it seems like a place you can use for all kinds of occasions. I ate and drank to my heart’s content and had a great time.

吉田ローランド光善

When I went in, it was already full and lively even though it was Wednesday. No wonder it is hard to get in without a reservation. Since it is a chicken specialty restaurant, I had an acquaintance handle the order and went with yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), chicken nanban, and more as Omakase. Each yakitori skewer was thick, large, filling, and delicious. The chicken nanban was also great, with moist meat and excellent sweet tartar sauce.

The obanzai (Kyoto-style home cooking) assortment-like dish was really good! While waiting for the skewers to finish grilling, I could nibble on it little by little and it went great with the drinks!! The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was simply tasty. The house-made ginger sour? kind of drink was good too. If something says ginger, it makes me want to drink it no matter what!

The chicken in the oyako-don (chicken and egg rice bowl) was tender and juicy, and the richness of the egg was outstanding. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was amazingly good too—I might want to eat just that. I also made sure to have the pudding, and left totally Manzoku and Manpuku

・Yakitori Rice bowl
Instead of skewer-style yakitori, this comes topped with grilled chicken breast. The sides are tonjiru (pork miso soup) and simmered hijiki (seaweed). It also comes with 1 raw egg as a free extra. To be honest, chicken breast is not really my favorite, but it is grilled well, with crispy skin and juicy meat inside. It is also quite large.

When it comes to Nonki, it's all about kushiyaki (grilled skewers). I like tsukune (chicken meatballs), so I ordered the cheese-topped tsukune and the tsukimi tsukune. The egg was very rich and delicious. When it comes to Nonki, I personally recommend the kushiyaki with tare sauce. I also love negima (chicken and scallion skewer), so I ended up ordering that too. That was absolutely the right call as well.

The interior has a calm Japanese style atmosphere, with both counter and table seating. It is located along Kiyosubashi-dori, about a 12-minute walk from JR Asakusabashi Station.

For the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), skilled chefs carefully skewer each piece by hand. They grill them over binchotan (high-grade Japanese charcoal) so they come out light and juicy.

For the shioyaki (salt-grilled) skewers, they use natural salt from Ako in Hyogo Prefecture, and for the tareyaki (sauce-grilled) skewers, they use a secret sauce that has been added to since the restaurant first opened. They also offer a miso tare made with miso, Korean chili peppers, and more than a dozen spices.

They also offer a wide variety of yakiton (grilled pork skewers) and creative skewers. On the left in the photo is the "Piman Cheese Butamaki," with irresistibly melty cheese wrapped in pork around green pepper. It is said to be a signature item that has been loved for years. They also have a wide selection of drinks that go well with yakitori (grilled chicken skewers).

肉男優

There is a sign outside explaining their commitment to yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), which makes the place seem a bit intense, but the staff are kind. They have a wide range of skewered items, including yakitori and yakiton (grilled pork skewers). I liked the ami reba (grilled liver wrapped in caul fat). This area seems to have fewer izakaya (Japanese pubs), so it looks like a handy spot when you want a quick drink.
