Not only the sweets and desserts, but everything from the standard dishes to this time's Special menu featuring Hakata meibutsu (local specialties of Hakata) was finished to a very high level and delicious enough to be moving. You could feel the chef's skill and passion in every single dish, and the phrase "the real thing" fit it perfectly. The atmosphere and service were also good, making this a buffet I can wholeheartedly recommend.

On weekdays, thankfully, there is no time limit! A seafood buffet is rare, and they kept refilling the hot dishes nonstop, so everything I tried was delicious. They also cleared away the finished plates right away, so the table never got cluttered. My friends liked it too, and we really enjoyed ourselves.

There was a wide range of ingredients, and everything was delicious. The desserts were also plentiful, with lots to choose from. The washoku (Japanese food), yoshoku (Western-style Japanese food), and chuka (Chinese food) were all high quality, and I was Manzoku. Unlike many buffet-style places, the food did not go cold and lose its taste. There were also many dishes that children would enjoy, so it felt like an easy place for families to visit.

I visited for lunch. I made a reservation for 11:00, and I was really happy that there was no time limit until 16:00! It was a great time, starting with lunch, then cafe, and dessert while chatting with friends at a relaxed pace. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for more than 20 years, and it’s really easy on the wallet, with plenty of variety even in the light course.

Kushiage (deep fried skewers) is great with meat too, but the vegetables are really the best. I personally recommend the renkon (lotus root), eringi (king oyster mushroom), and broccoli! Since each skewer is small, I could try a lot of different things before getting full.

I went to Kushiya Monogatari and enjoyed a kushikatsu (deep fried skewers) lunch. You do not usually get to eat them freshly fried at home, so I was happy to have them piping hot. It even came with dessert, including cake and soft serve. I spent the whole time enjoying sweets and kushikatsu alternately.
