Sumibi Yakiniku Gyugyu

Sumibi Yakiniku Gyugyu is a Yakiniku restaurant about a 10-minute walk from the south exit of Saga Station on the JR Nagasaki Main Line.

At the counter seats, you can enjoy Yakiniku in a calm atmosphere that feels almost like being at a bar. They also have zashiki (tatami seating) where you can take off your shoes and relax.

Guests praise this place for letting them enjoy high quality meats such as Saga gyu (Saga beef) and Domestic Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu), grilled over charcoal on a shichirin (small charcoal grill).

The Yakiniku is said to become more flavorful with every bite. It also pairs perfectly with the miso tare (miso based sauce), which brings out its great taste.

The "jo-karubi (premium short rib)" has beautiful marbling that really whets the appetite. A quick sear brings out the sweet flavor of the fat directly.

They also offer a wide range of wine, champagne, and chu-hai (shochu highballs). With foil-grilled dishes and desserts on the menu as well, it is a lineup that works well for families too.

The place was quite lively inside and almost full. We ordered the popular assortment, negi tongue, misuji (top blade), Horumon, aburi roast beef, and namuru (seasoned vegetable side dish). Everything was great! The aburi roast beef was especially outstanding✨Of course the drinks kept flowing!

It is located a little way from Saga Station, but the flavor and atmosphere made it easy to see why locals love it. The first thing we ordered was green onion salt tongue. It was thick cut yet easy to bite through, with just the right amount of salt. The nice aroma of charcoal grilling blended with the scent of the green onions, and it got our appetite going right from the start.

I fully enjoyed Imari-gyu (Imari beef) from Saga for the first time. I also liked its tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture. I visited at lunchtime on a holiday, and the restaurant had a calm, relaxed atmosphere, while the staff were polite and attentive. The parking lot also faced a main road, and it was spacious and easy to enter.

I treated myself to a slightly luxurious special lunch. (Premium Loin, premium kalbi, grilled vegetables, salad, rice, beef soup, and a choice of drink) The Imari-gyu (Imari beef) was as good as expected, so good that even a Large size serving of rice was not enough. From the first salad to the after meal coffee, it was a very Manzoku lunch.

Since they use Imari-gyu (Imari beef), the meat is undeniably delicious. I also recommend the miso tecchan, a large, plump, and tasty Horumon dish*

This is a stylish Yakiniku restaurant with a hideaway feel. The meat was tender, and the house-made sauce? It was really good. The staff were also very friendly, and it is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Jazz plays in the background, and it has a stylish atmosphere... yet it is also the kind of place where you can enjoy solo Yakiniku... a place just like that!!

I came here for Saga-gyu (Saga beef). Even if you actually live in Saga, Saga-gyu is not something you get to eat that often. I made a reservation in advance and ordered only the assortment. The assortment comes with several kinds of meat, centered around huge short ribs. What makes it so good comes down to this: the cuts are thick and tender.

You place small portions of what you want to eat on the grill, and once they are cooked, you eat them with goma-dare (sesame sauce), remon-dare (lemon sauce), or the salt on the table. Everything tastes good with any of them, so why not try a few and find your favorite way to enjoy it? I recommend trying parts like the neck of Mitsuse-dori (Mitsuse chicken) with salt.

These days, many Yakiniku restaurants use gas, so I got excited by the charcoal grill style here. The menu was easy to read, and I could see why the thick cut negi-tan (beef tongue with green onion) is so highly recommended✨I also fell for the cute shape of the sunazuri (gizzard). There was a wide selection of drinks too, and I had a great time. The service was also good, and it made me want to visit again.

Everything was so delicious it was almost worth going all the way to Saga just to eat this. The Diamond Tongue is cut to really look like a diamond, and it’s beautiful. Its long shape makes it a fun order for the table, and of course it tastes great too. The thick-cut tongue is also tasty, but if you’re ordering just one, I recommend the Diamond Tongue!

The Jukusei Osama Karubi was tender and delicious, but it was really big, so it was hard to grill and cut. The Beef Tongue was delicious. There was pineapple drizzled with honey, probably meant for grilling with the vegetables. We visited as a group of 8. We were shown to a Private room. Every cut of meat was consistently good. Since it is not Korean-style Yakiniku, they did not have dishes like gukbap, but they did have a roast beef Rice bowl. We fully enjoyed the delicious Saga-gyu (Saga beef).

Saga Beef Yakiniku Yamashita

Saga-gyu Yakiniku Yamashita is a fully private room Yakiniku restaurant about a 5-minute walk from JR Kohoku Station.

With its upscale atmosphere, it is perfect for a Special day. The service also gets high marks, and with good hospitality and well-timed dish service, it is said to have many repeat customers.

Top grade Saga-gyu (Saga beef) is served in three different courses. The "Saga-gyu Special assorted 4 cuts" lets you enjoy the day’s top picks.

The meat is praised for its beautiful marbling, and when lightly grilled, juicy fat overflows. On a special occasion, there is also an option to add Chateaubriand.

One review said the course meal is all Saga-gyu (Saga beef) from start to finish, and leaves you fully satisfied.

The beef stew is said to be packed with chunky pieces of Saga-gyu, and the meat sushi is also served, with wine pairings that are popular as well.

Since it has a Private room, you can relax and take your time! The atmosphere also feels gorgeous. Since the prices are market price, it makes you a little nervous,, but the drinks had prices listed‪☆The six-item assortment is very luxurious✨✨You can enjoy different cuts while savoring how good they are♡Since it is Saga beef, it had a melt-in-your-mouth kind of deliciousness

Before the Yakiniku, they brought out beef stew and Appetizers, which really got me excited because it felt like a full scale Yakiniku course! The Yakiniku focused on standard cuts, and they served genuinely delicious parts, so I enjoyed every bite! Even after eating all the way through to the final dish, it still felt light and didn’t sit heavy, which made me think that’s proof of how good the meat is, and it left me wanting to come back again next time!
