Yakitori Kara-age Highball Omiya Ten is an izakaya located in the annex of Omiya Rakuun, a multi purpose entertainment complex near the East Exit of Omiya Station. It is in an easy to reach location and has a casual, bar like feel.
It is easy to visit even on your own, and for groups of 15 or more, the second floor can also be used for a Private reservation.

This spot is known for great yakitori made with Daisen-dori (branded chicken from Tottori Prefecture), prepared while still exceptionally fresh from the morning.
It is said to have a nice plump texture and rich savory flavor. Grilled over charcoal and cut slightly larger, it is said to fill your mouth with juiciness.
Photograph:narucho63
You can also enjoy rare chochin (an immature egg yolk and oviduct grilled together) and salted pork skewers.
The Kara-age also uses Daisen-dori (Daisen chicken), and both the yakitori and Kara-age pair well with alcohol. If you like drinking, a course with All you can drink is also recommended.
ハラミ串
Only the reba (liver) is seasoned with tare sauce, and everything else is salted. The sunagimo (gizzard) also comes with yuzu kosho (yuzu pepper paste). They cook everything to about medium, and each skewer is quite large. They highlighted the freshness of the chicken processed that morning, and every cut really is tasty. I especially liked the seseri (neck meat) and the reba^m^. These yakitori are large and satisfying to eat, with rich flavor that makes them highly satisfying.

All of the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was delicious, but the Heart and chochin (chicken ovary and immature egg yolk skewer) were especially great. I think this is a rare place where you can eat chochin. The Kara-age was made with chicken breast and had a light taste, so it was easy to keep eating. It also seemed to be fried twice, which made the coating nice and crispy and very tasty.

Ore no Yakitori Omiya is located in the basement of a building on the west side of Omiya Station, across from the Sogo Omiya department store. On the first floor is Ore no Italian, a restaurant from the same group.
If you want to enjoy the lively feel of watching yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) being cooked right in front of you, the counter seats by the open kitchen are recommended.
Photograph:やぎやぎ625
You can also enjoy yakitori made with Tamashamo (Saitama local chicken), known for its firm texture and rich umami.
You can choose between salt seasoning and tare sauce, so some reviews suggest ordering your favorite cut both ways and comparing them. If you are not sure what to order, the set menus with several kinds of yakitori are a good choice.
They also offer pickles, salads, and seafood dishes to snack on while the yakitori cooks. You can also enjoy Tamashamo (Tokyo gamefowl) in fried dishes and soup.
The drink menu is also extensive, with Saitama-produced Japanese sake and local craft beer available as well.
おデブなみっちゃんNEW
The restaurant is always lively and busy inside. The aroma of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) really gets your appetite going. Start with the classic negima (chicken and scallion skewer). The smoky aroma from the charcoal grill, the juicy chicken, and the crisp scallions are irresistible! Five skewers of rare cuts. The salt is just right too, and it goes great with drinks. My personal top pick is the nama-tsukune (fresh chicken meatball skewer)! It has a soft, fluffy texture, and the savory flavor spreads across your mouth.

I got a warm welcome when I walked in. All the dishes were good, but the ones I especially liked were the Domestic chicken tataki, bonjiri skewer, and Ore no Maki Sushi. The restaurant seems to be known for "Tamashamo," a rare breed from Saitama Prefecture. It is nice to see "Misen" in the Japanese sake lineup. It is super dry, so give it a try if you like that kind of sake!

Kicho is located about a 5-minute walk from the west exit of Omiya Station, tucked away in a back alley of the downtown area. This yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) restaurant is recommended for people who also want to enjoy wine.
It has open-kitchen counter seats where you can watch the grilling, as well as calm Private rooms with a sense of privacy.

The yakitori made with Kyoto-produced Tanba Kurodori (Tanba Black Chicken) and grilled over binchotan (high-grade white charcoal) is known for its great aroma, pleasant bite, and delicious taste.
It is recommended to add your favorites to the Omakase course. Each skewer is said to be cooked to just the right doneness, letting you fully enjoy the rich flavor of the chicken.
Photograph:皆木
They also offer a "tori paitan (creamy chicken broth) mizutaki Hot Pot course," made by simmering chicken for over 10 hours to make the soup, then cooking chicken and vegetables in it, so you can enjoy Hot Pot dishes along with yakitori.
They have a wide selection of wines. They also offer several half bottle wines, so it is a great fit when you just want to drink a little.
石氷
The meal is served as a yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) course. Each skewer is prepared with the grilling, salt level, and even the aftertaste carefully thought out, with a level of finesse that goes beyond the very idea of a “skewer.” In particular, the liver with its perfect doneness and the tsukune (seasoned chicken meatball skewer), with umami that slowly spreads across the palate, left a strong impression. The small plates served along the way were also excellent, showing a depth that makes this feel like more than just a simple yakitori restaurant.

I went with the Omakase course. Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) was delicious! I also liked how they cooked each skewer. It was a hot day, so the sparkling Cremant was nicely chilled and tasted great. I finished a bottle in no time. For the second bottle, I had a red, Taltarni Shiraz. I was happy to find a good range of wines at this restaurant. The whisky was also reasonably priced.

“Keisho Hinaiya Nakamachi Ten” is a restaurant in the Ekiminami Ginza shopping street, about a 3-minute walk from the east exit of Omiya Station, that specializes in Hinai jidori (Akita free-range chicken) from Akita Prefecture.
The space has the warm feel of wood. Soft indirect lighting creates a calm atmosphere, making it a good fit when you want to take your time and relax.
Photograph:酒池肉飯
One of Japan's three most famous jidori (free-range chickens), Hinai jidori (free-range chicken). It is a rare local chicken, and they use only female birds that are free-range raised over a long period.
It is known for its rich flavor and just the right amount of fat. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) cooked over binchotan (high-grade charcoal) also lets you enjoy rare cuts.
Photograph:takaman86
The restaurant is also popular for kiritanpo-nabe (Hot Pot with pounded rice dumplings), a local Akita Prefecture dish from the production region of Hinai Jidori (free-range chicken). This Hot Pot is made by adding soy sauce to a chicken bone broth, then simmering dumpling-shaped pounded rice, vegetables, and chicken.
They also serve Japanese sake from Akita Prefecture, making this a great place to fully enjoy the flavors of Akita.

It had an amazingly nice atmosphere, and I could have the counter all to myself and enjoy everything slowly in a calm setting◎◎◎Also, when I ordered the same Omakase 5 kinds as yesterday, just as expected! It was a selection of 5 recommended yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and they were incredibly good◎◎◎Every one of them was a hit, with the best grilling and perfect seasoning with salt, so I could really relax and enjoy the meal

For the skewers, the sasami (chicken tenderloin) was rare in the middle, and the contrast in texture with the outside was very tasty. It went well with wasabi. The other skewers also had great chicken. The main kiritanpo-nabe (pounded rice skewer Hot Pot) had a delicious dashi broth in the soup. It had a gentle flavor that brought out the good taste of the ingredients.

Konpeitou Nakachou is an izakaya near Omiya Takashimaya Department Store, about a 5-minute walk from the East Exit of Omiya Station, and is a popular spot for casually enjoying yakitori (grilled chicken skewers).

At the heart of the food menu are dishes grilled over charcoal. Yakitori is one of them. They carefully skewer Special chicken and grill it slowly over the fire.
For the yakitori, you can choose either salt or tare sauce, and reviews say both are delicious.
Photograph:kaga_gram
Besides chicken, they also grill skewers like beef Horumon and vegetable skewers made with produce from partner farms over charcoal, so you can enjoy a wide range of fragrant, nicely charred skewers.
Both the food menu and drink menu offer plenty of variety, making it a great fit when you just want a quick drink or a light bite.

First, the yakitori assortment. This assortment lets you enjoy two flavors, tare sauce and salt, and every skewer is excellent. The tare has just the right sweetness and rich savory flavor, while the salt is perfectly balanced to bring out the natural taste of the ingredients. Slowly grilled over charcoal, the yakitori are crisp on the outside and juicy inside, and every bite of each skewer fills you with happiness.

I had two of the most popular signature beef skewers. The beef skewers are prepared on skewers at the restaurant and grilled at the grill station in front of the counter. Shintori, a yakitori and chicken specialty restaurant, is about a 5-minute walk from the East Exit of Omiya Station. It is on the 7th floor of a building with several restaurants inside.
The interior has a bright Japanese modern feel. There are counter seats where you can enjoy the live cooking atmosphere and Private room seating with a sense of privacy, and the grill uses a special exhaust system so smoke and smells are not a concern.

The chicken used here is akadri (heritage chicken), a breed that keeps the chicken’s original bloodline. Raised slowly over time in a natural environment, they source the best ones available that season from around Japan.
They butcher only the amount they will use that day at the restaurant On-the-Day, then grill it over binchotan (high-grade charcoal).
Photograph:JUN93480
The food is served as a course. It includes Appetizers and a salad made with seasonal ingredients, about 7 kushiyaki (grilled skewers), and chicken soup.
There is also a course that comes with a final dish, and multiple reviews say the ramen made with chicken soup is especially delicious.
ぴろしひろし
To put it simply, this is an upscale yakitori restaurant! But no matter what you order, it all tastes great. The idea is to start with a course meal and then order a la carte after that. I really love the soup of the To finish ramen!

Of course the ingredients are great, but the grilling technique of the owner, who also does the grilling, is just amazing!✨The way the liver is cooked and the soft texture of the tsukune (chicken meatball), which is tender without being too firm or falling apart, are excellent. They also use high quality sansho (Japanese pepper), and because the aroma fades quickly, they only bring it out after you ask for it✨I’ll definitely be coming back!

I ordered shiro (pork intestine) and liver (rare), JPY160 (Each), with tare sauce. Even if the liver is called rare, places these days cannot really serve it truly rare. Still, it was cooked quite rare and left me Manzoku. The tare sauce was also just how I like it, neither too sweet nor too salty. As expected from Shigeru. The shiro had some slightly firm parts, but it was not oddly rubbery. I enjoyed this one too.

The "yasai-maki (vegetables wrapped in pork)" is also popular. The tomato and asparagus versions, along with the one wrapped around shiitake mushrooms full of savory flavor, are said to be very good.
They also offer courses with All you can drink, where you can enjoy kushiyaki (grilled skewers), tempura, sashimi, and more.
It was delicious! In a calm Private room, I was able to enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace. Each skewer was expertly done, with an outstanding balance of aroma and savory flavor. It is well suited for a more grown-up meal in Omiya.

The Private room space spread out in the basement was even more relaxing than expected, and I was able to spend time at an easy pace. Considering the location, this quiet atmosphere is appealing.

Overall, the restaurant had a very calm atmosphere, and I was able to take my time and enjoy the meal. Every dish was good, with seasoning that felt true to Kyushu (the Kyushu region of Japan). The vegetable-packed yakisoba (pan-fried noodles) was loaded with ingredients and nicely fragrant, while the gomoku yakimeshi (five-ingredient fried rice) had a gentle flavor that stayed enjoyable to the last bite. The popping texture of umi-budo (sea grapes) and the rich taste of maguro (tuna) with sesame soy sauce also left a strong impression.

They also serve fried rice, whose savory aroma and rich flavor make it the perfect way to finish the course. And to wrap things up, dessert comes at the end.
