Garlic Chicken Yakiniku San

Ninniku Tori Yakiniku San is a Yakiniku restaurant in the Tennoji Kita entertainment district, about a 5-minute walk from the west exit of Abenobashi Station on the Kintetsu (Each) lines.

Marked by its red lanterns, the place has a lively feel. It offers counter seats that are easy to drop by for even solo diners, as well as table seating recommended for groups of friends.

This restaurant serves Yakiniku in a self service style on a special yakinabe (grill and Hot Pot combo) with a built in grilling area and Hot Pot.

Yamato Nikudori (Nara local chicken) from Nara and Daisen Gaina-dori (Daisen chicken) from Tottori develop rich flavor and depth when grilled. Their secret garlic sauce is said to be an excellent sauce that really whets your appetite.

The juices that come out as the meat cooks drip down into the Hot Pot below, so not a single drop of flavor goes to waste.

As the meat grills, the hakusai (Chinese cabbage) simmering in the pot below soaks up plenty of those drippings and tastes just as great. To finish, you can add Chinese noodles, zosui (rice porridge), or tteok (Korean rice cakes) and enjoy it to the very end.

In front of Tennoji Station, there are many offshoots of famous restaurants, so the level is high. What people call Ura-Tennoji has really taken shape here, and this place is the up-and-coming Honten among them. Opened in 2024, it serves a style of grilled chicken that feels like it should exist, yet somehow doesn’t. You can also enjoy plenty of vegetables in a Hot Pot and savor the rich flavor all the way through to the finishing dish. A great idea~

What stands out about the garlic is that the original sauce has a nice garlic kick, and there is fresh garlic on the table that you can use in all kinds of ways: grill it, crush it into the sauce, or add it to the Hot Pot. All you do is simply grill the chicken, but it tastes great.

Yakiniku Ura Tennoji Yasuhee

"Yakiniku Ura Tennoji Yasubee" is a Yakiniku restaurant just steps from Exit 9 of Tennoji Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line. Its old house style interior is part of the appeal.

If you are enjoying Yakiniku alone, the counter seats with their own grills are a good pick. There are also table seats, so it is easy for families to visit as well.

They serve high quality Wagyu selected with the owner's eye for quality, without focusing on specific labels or brand name meats.

The popular menu item is the "Outside skirt." You can choose sauce or salt, but reviews suggest the sauce is more popular. The sauce that brings out the umami is a rich concentrated tare sauce passed down for more than 50 years.

The "Casual Course" includes Outside skirt, premium tongue, loin, and 6 kinds of Horumon.

The Horumon is also excellent, letting you enjoy different textures depending on how it is grilled. It is said to pair well with both rice and alcohol.

It’s not high-end Yakiniku, but it’s also not your typical local Yakiniku spot, and since it doesn’t have that many seats, it feels like a slightly nicer Yakiniku restaurant you can visit casually! I personally liked the tsurami (part of the cheek) the best! The Outside skirt was also delicious! The prices are fairly high, so there’s no doubt the meat is good quality!

りえ太郎18035

It’s a small, narrow place with a counter and just a few table seats, but the renovated kominka (traditional Japanese house) gives it a calm and relaxing atmosphere. They also provide plastic bags so your bag and other belongings won’t pick up any smells♪The meat you want is right here! I basically love salt tongue and Outside skirt, so those are must-order items for me. The plates are stylish too, and everything is served neatly arranged. They also have a wide variety of Horumon.

ドルチェ29

The meat at Bungo is so marbled it is genuinely Surprising, and it has a nice sweetness. It is also great that you can choose between salt and sauce. If you choose salt, it comes with wasabi. Outside knuckle is a type of round, but it is not tough at all, and it is a wonderful cut with the rich flavor of lean meat! I enjoyed every cut

My friend who went with me chose all the menu items together, so I don’t know the names, but the meat in the back of the photo that you eat wrapped with negi (green onion) was unbelievably good! It also felt even better because the staff carefully grilled it for us! On top of that, the service left a great impression and was excellent! It’s a place I want to visit again♡

Every cut had beautiful marbling you could spot at a glance, and each time it hit the grill, the rich flavor melted out and spread through your mouth. The tongue in particular was surprisingly tender despite its thickness, and it was delicious with just salt.

Each item is just the right size and goes down easily without feeling heavy. It is really nice that you can choose from three kinds of tare sauce and three kinds of salt too. This restaurant has a wide variety of Horumon! I had never seen ppubugi and Achilles before, so I was curious and ordered them. Everything was tasty, but tsurami (cheek meat) was my personal top pick! This is a place with plenty of other menu items I still want to try(^^)
