They’re so finely made that you almost think, “Can cakes really be this intricate!?” You can enjoy great cakes with combinations that would be impossible for an amateur to make. Nagono Sabo Hanasenka

Nagono Sabo Hanasenka is a place where you can enjoy carefully made wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) with sencha (Japanese green tea) or matcha (powdered green tea).

The interior is a renovated kominka (traditional old house) that is over 100 years old. You can spend an elegant time seated at the modern light wood counter or table seats.

The "Hon-warabi Mochi (bracken starch dumpling)" is made with hon-warabi-ko (bracken starch) from Kagoshima Prefecture, and a nice touch is that they knead it fresh for each order.

It has a faint sweetness and a melt-in-your-mouth softness.

The collaboration item "Hanasenka to Fukyuen no Monaka" with the famous monaka shop Fukyuen is a Japanese sweet made with monaka wafers kneaded with bamboo charcoal and filled with anko (sweet red bean paste), walnuts, and dried figs. You can enjoy it with cognac poured over it to taste.

It was Manzoku!!!!! They served the tea in three rounds, and each one had a completely different aroma and taste, which made it a lot of fun, and it was delicious! The sablés are incredibly good. These sablés have a crisp, crumbly texture! The butter sablé was simple, but you could really taste the butter, and it was very delicious! The caramel sablé had a caramel flavor and was coated with cinnamon sugar on the outside! This one was also very delicious!
