Ushikozou, about a 4-minute walk from the East Exit of JR Kawasaki Station, is a popular place where you can enjoy A5-rank Wagyu specially selected by an owner with a butcher background at reasonable prices. They are said to focus on high quality female cattle known for fat that melts smoothly in the mouth.
Inside, you can enjoy Yakiniku in a casual space with a restaurant-like feel, with counter seats, table seats, and Semi-private room seating.
Photograph:つ~ちゃん
The most popular option is the owner’s recommended 13-dish “Ushikozou Course” (with 2 hours of All you can drink). It includes standard Yakiniku favorites such as premium salted beef tongue, lightly seared yukhoe (Korean-style raw beef), samgyeopsal, and grilled sukiyaki-style Strip loin.
This course is appealing because you can enjoy popular menu items with a wide selection of alcohol and drinks.
Photograph:ぴょん子
You can also order à la carte dishes. This is the “tsurami (part of the cheek) no Yaki Shabu,” enjoyed with salty ponzu sauce. You can savor tsurami, known for the rich flavor of its lean meat, in a shabu-shabu style.
It is a simple yet luxurious dish topped with shiraga-negi (finely shredded white leek). Its clean bite and light finish are also said to be well received.
The meat was high quality, and the upper-grade cuts were also delicious, but the tare-marinated harami (skirt steak) was especially good! It seems the yaki-shabu (lightly grilled thin-sliced beef) was the best. My personal number one was the Premium salted tongue. I’d like to visit again for a Special celebration.

A rising force in Kawasaki. Ushikozou really is amazing after all. If you want to make sure the person you bring is happy, this Yakiniku place is definitely the right choice. The kalbi, loin, Outside skirt, and tongue are all top notch, and this is not a down to earth neighborhood Yakiniku spot but a stylish kind of Yakiniku place. Now I am already wondering who to bring next〜That is the kind of Yakiniku restaurant this is. I will be back〜

A popular item here is the "Jo-tan Atsugiri (thick-cut premium beef tongue)." This dish is said to let you enjoy both the tender texture of the meat and the unique bite that beef tongue is known for.
They also serve Soshu-gyu (Soshu brand beef), a branded beef from Kanagawa Prefecture, where Kawasaki City is located. You can enjoy it both à la carte and in courses.

They also serve lunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and you can casually enjoy Yakiniku even on your own in a set meal style. The photo shows the "Yakiniku assortment set meal." Along with thinly sliced tongue and Soshu beef short rib, it comes with Daisendori thigh meat and vegetables.
The lineup features juicy and flavorful meat, and it is said to be so good that it goes perfectly with rice.

The place had a great atmosphere from the entrance, and the counter and table seats inside were completely full, showing why reservations are a must on weekends. Luckily, we had reserved ahead, so we got in smoothly. Every cut of meat was fresh and delicious, and the thick cut Beef Tongue was especially outstanding. The house made lemonade also paired perfectly with the rich Yakiniku, bringing out the balance of flavors.

I was going to have lunch in Kawasaki and found this place on Tabelog. When I visited, it had a nice entrance, and the inside felt new and clean. I ordered an assortment of Beef Tongue, loin?, and chicken. I ended up eating at the counter, but it was the best seat to watch the staff at work. The meat and rice were both very good.

You can enjoy Wagyu sourced directly from a meat wholesaler with its freshness intact.
The popular "Premium Wagyu 6-part assortment" is an assortment made up only of the recommended Premium cuts of the day. With dry ice rising dramatically from a tamatebako (treasure box) and a bright presentation, it is a dish you will want to take a photo of.
The stock changes daily, with branded wagyu such as Tamura-gyu (Tamura beef), Yaeyama Kyori-gyu (Yaeyama Kyori beef), and Tajima-gyu (Tajima beef) making an appearance.
The "Odo Yakiniku Banquet Course" with 2 hours of All you can drink follows a classic lineup that starts with salted tongue. With the rich flavor of kalbi and the savory taste and easy-to-enjoy appeal of Outside skirt, it is the kind of course that naturally keeps the drinks flowing.

That evening felt like all the appeal of Yakiniku packed into one place: the sweet richness of the fat, the bold flavor of the lean cuts, the umami of the Horumon, and even sushi, cold noodles, and dessert... Every plate had its own real character, and each one brought a different kind of joy. It was a rare Yakiniku experience. A parade of high quality meat with All you can drink included!

・Special Wagyu 6-cut assortment
This is basically a jewel box of meat. Seeing momo (round), Knuckle main muscle, Outside knuckle, Flap meat, Premium kalbi, and sasami (part of the flank) lined up in a paulownia wood box is a real showstopper. Each cut has its own level of richness and lean meat flavor, and each one shows a different side as it cooks. This lineup truly lives up to the name "Itadaki".

The “Toro Horumon” has a plump, bouncy texture and a touch of sweetness, and the more you chew, the more flavor spreads. The “Sakura Yukke” has a rich taste and is as fresh as it gets. Mixing it with egg yolk makes it even better♪ The “Negi Tongue Shio” is thick but tender, and goes perfectly with green onions! The “Premium Mountain chain tripe” has a nice bite while still staying moist, and the more you chew, the more flavor you can enjoy.

A Yakiniku restaurant in the Kawasaki area, located in Gingai-gai (Ginyan Shopping Street) in front of Kawasaki Station. Since it is open from lunchtime, I stopped by for lunch. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building, and when you step inside, it has an atmosphere with a touch of luxury. Taishu Horumon Nikurikikiya Keikyu Kawasaki Ten is a restaurant in the arcade street "Ginzagai," right outside Keikyu Kawasaki Station, where you can enjoy Yakiniku grilled over a charcoal shichirin (small charcoal grill). It features a space designed to evoke old Japan. The clean interior is said to fill up at night with office workers stopping by after work.

A popular specialty in Japanese Yakiniku is Horumon. They source fresh pork Horumon, and you can enjoy the quality of the ingredients simply grilled over charcoal.
The flavor shows the care that goes into the preparation, and one of its best points is how easy it is to enjoy even for first time diners.
"Meibutsu Niku assortment." A good value assortment lined with Horumon, plus rare specially selected cuts like kashira (head meat) and Aorta.
The Horumon is cut into large pieces for a satisfying bite, and its flavor spreads more the more you chew. Grilling it over charcoal brings out the sweetness of the fat, making it the kind of taste you just can’t stop eating.
うばな
I chose the cheapest course, but it was quite filling and left me satisfied. The block meat assortment was a bit hard to grill and slightly difficult to eat, but I think it was good because I could try different kinds of meat. Be careful not to overcook the Horumon. The meat sashimi-style dish had a slight spicy kick and was tasty. I appreciated that it also came with All you can drink.

Kawasaki’s shopping streets are lined with shops packed tightly together, and Horumon spots are especially common. Among them, this place often has a line out front. A rare Korean drink, Tora Makkori. This dry nigori-zake (cloudy sake) stands out for its fresh acidity and gentle fizz. It pairs well with Yakiniku without feeling heavy, and offers a clean, refreshing taste.
They also have a well-reviewed selection for drink lovers, including Japanese sake, Japanese whisky, and directly imported wine.
うにみーちゃん
They buy whole A5-rank Yamagata meshi-ushi (female Yamagata beef), so every cut of meat was really delicious. The ootoro tan (rich beef tongue) and nama yukhoe (raw seasoned beef) in particular were on a level you do not find at other places, and I was really impressed. Considering the quality and the Private room setting where you can relax and take your time, the price felt fair. I think this is the perfect place for a meal on a Special day or for spending time with someone important.

This is a place where the Outside skirt is really good, and it was as reliably tasty as ever this time too. It was cut into fairly large pieces, so it was very satisfying to eat, and the flavor was great! Since the meat is high quality, even a small amount left me very satisfied. The manager carefully selects high quality meat from suppliers chosen through many years of trusted relationships. The top recommendation is the "Premium negi karubi (short rib with green onion)," a rich dish with melt in your mouth short rib and crisp green onions with a nice aroma.
They also offer a full lineup of dishes featuring rare cuts, including "Premium Outside skirt" and "Premium thick cut salted Beef Tongue."

In addition to Yakiniku, you can also enjoy authentic Korean dishes prepared by the Korean-born owner.
The menu gets good reviews for offering many dishes that go well with Chamisul and makgeolli, as well as rice, including the sweet and spicy napa cabbage pickle called geotjeori kimchi, chijimi (Korean pancake), tteokbokki, and stir-fried octopus.

I was looking for a Yakiniku place for a late weekday night gathering, and this place came up at just the right time, so we went. Since it was Tuesday night, there were no other customers, and there seemed to be only about 1 or 2 staff members. All the meat was high quality, and even so, it did not feel that expensive! The appetizers were also good. I would like to go again when we get together in Kawasaki (Kawasaki) . It was a great meal.

Antlers
After finishing our meal and drinks, we stopped by for a final bite. The kimchi was authentic Korean kimchi. The fresh, crisp Chinese cabbage was coated in just the right level of heat, and I could not stop eating it. Every cut of meat they served was high quality and only needed a quick sear before eating, so I naturally found myself reaching for another beer.

For the Yakiniku, you can choose from 3 seasonings: "shioyaki (salt-grilled)," "tareyaki (sauce-grilled)," and "kuro misoyaki (grilled with black miso)." They source and serve the best-condition beef of the day from all over Japan.
The menu also has a full range of dishes beyond Yakiniku.

At lunchtime, they serve Yakiniku Gozen set meals. The photo shows the “Yakiniku Gozen set,” centered on nakaochi karubi (boneless short rib meat between the ribs), lean roast cuts, and Wagyu. You can enjoy Special high-quality Yakiniku with rich umami and a touch of sweetness.
They also offer a “Special Gozen set” that includes seafood, making it perfect for a business lunch or lunch on a special occasion.

The seasoning has a refined, upscale feel and tastes very good. I had a salad and some meat. For the salad, I had the Toraji Salad, and I even enjoyed the texture from the freeze-dried vegetables and lettuce. As for the meat, needless to say, it was high quality, and the fat had a nice sweetness that made it delicious.

I had something to do in Kawasaki, so this was my first time visiting this restaurant, and it had the same reliable Toraji quality. Maybe because it is near Keikyu Kawasaki Station, I was able to book right before and visit even at lunchtime on a Sunday. I added Beef Tongue and tongue tsukune (chicken-style meatball) to the lunch menu, and I was completely full. I always end up eating too much. It was a great meal.

I visited late at night. The meat assortment was so good that I ended up drinking more than I planned. They also had a wide range of side dishes, from seafood to snacks, so the menu felt very complete. It was really helpful that they were open even late at night. I will visit again late at night.

Osaka Yakiniku・Horumon Futago Kawasaki Ten is about an 8-minute walk from the Keikyu Kawasaki East Exit, and the interior is modeled after an old-school Korean Yakiniku restaurant in Osaka. It has a nostalgic feel, with metal pipe chairs and tabletop gas grills lined up.
The tabletop grills are rare models brought back from discontinued products. The space feels easygoing, so you can stop by casually even in everyday clothes or sandals.
Photograph:りょうCHR
The "Futago assortment" featuring popular cuts of Horumon has many repeat customers, and many regulars come specifically for it.
The carefully prepared Horumon is brought to life with a special sauce, giving it a taste you will not find elsewhere. Another nice point is that the staff grills the meat for you.
Photograph:シスロー
They also offer a wide variety of soups, kuppa (Korean rice soup), and noodle dishes, all said to have a carefully crafted taste. One of the most popular items is the “Kodawari no Hitokuchi Reimen.”
It uses katsuo dashi (bonito stock) simmered for 8 hours with 12 kinds of ingredients, along with special Morioka reimen (Morioka cold noodles). It is said to be a refreshing dish with plenty of rich umami.
カワウソちゃま
Reasonably priced and easy to visit! The staff will grill the meat for you, and if you want to grill it yourself, they will let you do that too. Whatever you order, it is Manzoku and tasty. The photo shows tsubo karubi (marinated short ribs in a jar)! The flavor is quite strong, but it is nice once in a while! Delicious! I visited on a holiday evening, and even with a last minute reservation, I was able to get in.

I was a little worried because the outside looked like a taishu izakaya (casual Japanese pub), but the staff grill the meat for you. A lot of people find it hard to judge the right doneness for Horumon, so I think this is a great service. Everything was good, but I especially recommend the spicy Horumon, which was delicious. The drinks also come quickly. It is nice that they offer a half-size cold noodles option and that the menu has a wide variety of choices.

Gyukaku (Gyu-Kaku) Myuza Kawasaki Ten is a popular nationwide Yakiniku chain located on the first floor of a mixed-use complex, directly connected to the JR Kawasaki Station west exit deck. They offer a full menu for both lunch and dinner.
The spacious interior has sofa and table seating, creating a comfortable space where families, friends, and guests with small children can relax without worry.

The meat is carefully cut in house. They change the thickness and shape for each cut, adjusting it so each one tastes best the moment it hits your mouth.
The large plate menu, an assortment of popular items such as Gyukaku (Beef Horn) Premium Kalbi and aged thick cut kalbi, is also well received.
Photograph:hamajine
At Gyu-Kaku's All you can eat and drink, the lineup includes not only meat, but also salads, snacks, and even To finish menu items.
There are four courses in total, ranging from an All you can eat plan with 70 items to a more luxurious option that includes Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef).

I appreciated that the green onion salt Beef Tongue came with the green onions on a separate plate. I also enjoyed the Yakiniku dishes like kalbi and Outside skirt, but the mini bibimbap was especially good with plenty of toppings. When I visited again for the first time in a while, it had come in a cup, but the dessert Gyukaku Ice Cream is still a must and reliably good.

The kalbi, loin, and tongue were all delicious, but I especially liked the harami (skirt steak). There was also an All you can eat menu, but we went with A la carte. We also had dessert, so the total ended up being slightly more expensive than the All you can eat option, but we were satisfied. We ate our fill of Yakiniku, but I felt fine the next day with no heaviness in my stomach.

Shichirin Yakiniku Anan Keikyu Kawasaki Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant about a 3-minute walk from Keikyu Kawasaki Station.
According to reviews, the open dining room lined with table seating and box seats is always lively and perfect when you want to enjoy Yakiniku in a fun, upbeat atmosphere. If you want more privacy, a fully private room is also recommended.
Photograph:eki0123
You can casually enjoy Yakiniku grilled over an authentic shichirin (charcoal brazier). They also offer All you can eat and drink and A la carte All you can drink, so it is perfect for a Banquet.
The popular "young karubi (short rib)" uses beef short plate. You can really taste the sweetness of the fat, and the flavor gets better the more you chew.
Photograph:mizu0585
On weekdays, the lunch set meals are also popular, and the top pick is the "3-kind assortment set meal," which comes with young kalbi, Anan loin, and toro kalbi.
Rice refills are free, and some reviews said they were very satisfied because they could easily enjoy charcoal grilled Yakiniku from lunchtime.
It has good access close to the station, and the interior has the lively feel of a Yakiniku restaurant. Cooking your own meat over a shichirin (charcoal brazier) is fun, and the kalbi and Horumon had just the right amount of fat, making them best when grilled to a nice fragrant finish while adjusting the doneness yourself. The side dishes, like kimchi and chijimi (Korean savory pancake), also had a consistent good taste and paired well with rice or drinks.

It was my first Yakiniku lunch in a while. Just steps from Keikyu Station, this restaurant is in the basement of a building and may seem a little hard to enter, but inside it is surprisingly spacious. The lively staff welcomed me in. For now, I started with a beer. I tried ordering a set meal for the first time. The set came with cabbage, kimchi, soup, and rice, so it felt like a good deal. It was a great meal♪
