Yakiniku Katsuragi

Yakiniku Katsuragi, a 3-minute walk from JR Sakai-shi Station, is a long-established Yakiniku restaurant known for its great fresh Horumon and Chateaubriand.

The cozy interior has only 10 counter seats in total, and it is by reservation only with a 90-minute time limit. Since it is very popular, it is best to book well in advance.

The Chateaubriand in the photo is a house specialty, thick cut and very filling. The staff grills it right in front of you on the Teppan-yaki grill, and you can also enjoy the exciting flambé.

It is said to be high quality and very tender, with great umami and sweetness that pair well with both rice and drinks.

The other cuts are also said to be very good. The “Outside skirt” in the bottom photo is richly marbled, and its sweetness spreads in your mouth.

The top photo shows the Horumon “Mountain chain tripe.” It is a cut from the first stomach and is known for its crunchy texture. The more you chew, the more flavor comes out.

繊細なアラサー

To get straight to the point, this was a Yakiniku restaurant with high quality meat, precise cuts, and excellent presentation, making it a very satisfying place to dine. The lean cuts had a clear, rich flavor, while the fat was high quality and light on the palate. Each cut had its own easy-to-understand character, and together with the nice aroma from grilling, the meal was designed so you would not get tired of eating even to the very end. The balance of sauce and salt was also good, and it was clear that the approach here is to bring out the quality of the ingredients.

When I think of Chateaubriand, I imagine a steak-like dish, but this one looked more like roast beef. Still, it was thick cut and had the satisfying bite of a steak, while staying tender, so anyone could easily tell how good the meat quality was. We also ordered short rib, tannanaka (middle cut of the tongue), and yamaimo kimchi (Japanese mountain yam kimchi), and every dish was excellent.

Yakiniku Kurochan

At Yakiniku Kurochan, you can enjoy Yonezawa gyu (Yonezawa beef) Yakiniku made with the tastiest cuts of Yonezawa beef from Yamagata Prefecture, one of Japan’s three great Wagyu brands.

The interior has a calm atmosphere. It offers a variety of seating options, including counter seats, table seats, zashiki (tatami seating), and Private room seating.

As one of only 2 restaurants in Western Japan officially designated to sell Yonezawa beef, it offers a wide range of cuts, including rare parts. You can also enjoy Special top grade A5 meat.

Every cut has a great reputation for its high quality, tenderness, and juiciness. If you are not sure which cuts to order, the "Yonezawa beef 4-kind assortment" is recommended.

If you want to enjoy Yakiniku in a casual way, lunchtime is recommended. They offer good value set menus that come with a soft drink.

The photo shows the "Yaku Niku Outside skirt Set," where you can enjoy Yonezawagyu (Yonezawa beef) Outside skirt. The thick cut roast beef topped on the salad is also said to be tasty.

marik957

I ordered the roast and Outside skirt again this time too〜. The Outside skirt has a fairly firm bite, but it is tasty. The roast is tender and also delicious. If you want to enjoy good meat with peace of mind, I think this is the best place(^^)

We first had thin sliced tongue, harami (skirt steak), Sirloin cap, and Chateaubriand, and they were so good that we ended up ordering more, including a filet steak and a Sirloin cap steak, and really went all in on premium Yakiniku. It seems they use Yonezawa-gyu (Yonezawa beef), as there was various information about it written around the restaurant. The prices are high, but the quality of the meat was worth it.

Sumibiyakiniku Hibino Tei Nakamozu Ten

Sumibiyakiniku Hibino Tei Nakamozu Ten is a Yakiniku restaurant where you can casually enjoy Yakiniku made with Kagoshima-produced Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu). Located right in front of Exit 4 of Osaka Metro Nakamozu Station, it offers excellent access.

The interior has a calm atmosphere and is equipped with table seating. Many of the seats have a Semi-private room feel, so you can relax and enjoy your meal.

The Japanese Black Wagyu they use is known for its fine marbling. The fat melts on your tongue, and it has an elegant sweetness.

The "Atsugiri Tan Steak" in the photo is a rare cut, with only enough for two servings taken from the base of the tongue. It is cut extra thick, and each bite fills your mouth with flavor.

They also serve Omi Beef, one of Japan’s three major Wagyu varieties. Omi Beef is known for its great balance of lean meat and fat, with a tender texture that melts in your mouth.

The photo shows the “Omi Beef meat assortment.” The rare cut “Special lean meat” is said to be excellent, with more flavor coming out the more you chew. Every cut is also available A la carte.

The karubi (short rib) with the bright kick of wasabi was excellent, and the tender, juicy meat melted in the mouth. The yaki-shabu (lightly grilled thin-sliced meat) was also enjoyable with fresh vegetables, and it was very satisfying to eat! The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and attentive. The prices are fairly reasonable, and I think it offers good value too◎◎

たけちゃんぱぱ1965

When you dip the freshly grilled tan-shio (salted beef tongue) in lemon juice and take a bite, it has a nice crisp texture. The salt and the tartness of the lemon go well with the meat’s rich flavor. It’s delicious. I also grilled the bara (beef belly) and karubi (Korean-style short ribs) from the set, each with both salt seasoning and sauce. Unlike the tan-shio, these had an excellent meaty texture. It was the kind of flavor that reminds you how good Yakiniku is.

They also have the “Kuroge Wagyu staff meal Rice bowl,” topped with plenty of Kuroge Wagyu over rice. Large size rice is free for both.

じぇい19691001

This place was a real hit. The tongue, premium Outside skirt, and kalbi (Korean style short ribs) were all faultlessly good. The tongue came already coated in what felt like a salt based sauce, with a solid seasoning, and the sauces for the other meats were also on the light side, so everything was very easy to eat. The staff were polite, the place had great energy, and it felt really nice.

たくちゃんパパ

The Beef Tongue is thick, but because it is carefully cut, it stays juicy, tender, and satisfying to eat! The Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) A5 short ribs have so much fat that they flare up right away unless you sear them lightly on the Teppan-yaki, and eating them with plain white rice is pure happiness.

The "Roast Beef Rice bowl," made with A5-ranked meat with a moist, tender texture, is said to be an excellent dish that really lets you enjoy the rich flavor of lean beef. The beautiful presentation is part of its appeal as well.

minn2024

Then came the thick cut tongue, thin cut tongue, Top blade, and various other cuts of meat, all with the perfect richness you only get from Miyazaki-gyu (Miyazaki beef), delicious without feeling heavy on the stomach. The marbling on the sukiyaki meat served at the end was also outstanding. Some cuts practically melted the moment they hit your mouth, and all the relatives who joined me raved that this was the best Yakiniku restaurant they had ever been to.

We had a course meal and used a Private room. When the Appetizers were served, they were bright and beautiful to look at, fun to eat, and made us even more excited for the next dishes. Starting with the tongue, then the Chateaubriand, everything was excellent. We changed the Chateaubriand to San (Yamaguchi top award winning beef), and it was among the very best beef I have ever eaten.

The exterior is stylish, and the interior is stylish too. The rice goes well with the meat. The Horumon is especially good. It has a nice crunch, and the flavor is rich. It also has none of the off notes typical of Horumon. Above all, the staff's service is excellent. The food you order comes out quickly. They also do a great job explaining the meat.

あつりん21号

When my friend and I think of Yakiniku, Kojima-san has become our go-to lately. The meat is delicious, and the beer, highballs, and sours are all reasonably priced. This time, we started with a tongue assortment of 3 kinds, Outside skirt, kalbi (Korean-style short rib), Mountain chain tripe, liver, kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), and salted cabbage. The food is consistently good, and the staff service is also really great. Totally Manzoku again today.

Source:あつりん21号's review

I’ve had tongue at many different Yakiniku restaurants, but the tongue here stood out from the rest. It was thick yet surprisingly tender, and the more I chewed, the more flavor came through. I also liked the care they put into using different salts for each dish, which made it enjoyable not just for the taste but for the presentation too. Considering the high quality, the prices are also very reasonable, so the value for money is excellent.

Since we went as a party of two, the first floor was the best space for having a calm conversation rather than making noise. Kumamoto beef is rare, so it also makes a good talking point, and the quality is definitely solid, so I’m glad we made a reservation before going. The signature dish, "Atsugiri Negi Tsutsumi Tan," is a popular item made by sandwiching negi (green onion) inside thick cut tanmoto (base of the tongue). It is seasoned with grated ginger and sesame oil.

It is best grilled until crisp on the outside and rare inside. The fatty, tender, and juicy tongue pairs perfectly with the green onion.

The photo shows the "Special ribushin," prized for its beautiful marbling. It is a premium cut located in the center of the Spencer roll. It has a fine texture and tender meat, with a good balance of lean meat and fat. You can eat it with salt or sauce.

Not only the other cuts, but also the a la carte dishes and drinks are said to be great.

I searched because I was craving tongue, and this place came up, so I went to try it. It was my first time having negi-tsutsumi tan (tongue wrapped with green onion), and it was excellent. Of course, the other meats, like Outside skirt and loin, were fresh too, and I enjoyed them very much. There is a required appetizer and one-drink minimum, so if I had not been driving, I would have liked to have a drink. It is that good.

Sumibi Yakiniku Ichizen

In a calm wa-modern (Japanese modern) space, Sumibi Yakiniku Ichizen is a place where you can enjoy high-end branded Wagyu such as Matsusaka-gyu (Matsusaka beef) and Omi-gyu (Omi beef). It is about a 10-minute walk from Hatsushiba Station on the Nankai Line.

The restaurant is fully equipped with table seating and Private rooms with Sunken kotatsu seating. The counter seats also seem easy to use even for solo diners.

They serve high quality meat selected for freshness, including rare cuts and Horumon. Grilling it over charcoal brings out the meat’s natural flavor.

The photo shows the filling and luxurious “Wagyu Special thigh meat assortment,” a set that includes 3 kinds of Special thigh cuts of the day, lightly grilled Wagyu thigh slices, and grilled vegetables.

The photo shows the "Kuroge Wagyu no Niku-mabushi," with A5-grade Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black beef) served over rice. It is a popular menu item, limited to 10 servings at lunchtime.

Transfer it to a bowl and eat it as ochazuke (rice with broth) with dashi broth and yakumi (condiments). Of course, it is also recommended to enjoy it simply with yakumi and savor the meat's rich flavor and sweetness.

・Wagyu Special thigh meat assortment
Ramu shin, maru shin, Sirloin cap, Top sirloin, hiuchi (part near the thigh)...a great lineup that even includes rare cuts. The plating looks beautiful, and the even, lovely marbling of each cut is really captivating. When you actually try it, the meat is so tender your teeth glide right through. Rather than a rich, heavy umami, it has a stronger sweetness and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

やたグル/やたし

The Beef Tongue assortment includes premium thick-cut tongue, premium green onion salt tongue, salt sauce tongue, and tongue short rib. Necktie steak is on the day's recommended menu and is not listed on the regular menu. The reimen (cold noodles) was created by a former French chef, and it feels closer to pasta than typical cold noodles. The interior had a calm feel, and the meat was delicious.

I had samgyeopsal at the Korean restaurant KAL-san. Ordering the course gave a good sense of value while still being quite filling, and in the end it felt very inexpensive. The meat was juicy and went perfectly with the vegetables. Although the restaurant is on the smaller side, it had a calm atmosphere and I was able to relax and take my time.
