Sake to Sakana On The Corner is a bistro-style izakaya where you can enjoy genre-free cuisine.
The interior is inspired by the bustle of Takadanobaba and the quiet of Japan. You can spend a relaxing time listening to music played through German-made speakers.

They use carefully selected ingredients in the dishes they serve, including fresh seafood from Toyosu Market and Shonan yasai (vegetables) sourced from local farmers.
The photo shows the “Chiba Tateyama jibie (game) wild boar coarse ground menchi-katsu (breaded and deep-fried minced meat cutlet).” Pairing the menchi-katsu with the tangy tomato sauce brings out the rich flavor of the meat even more.

One big draw is that you can order Domestic wine and natural wine by the glass. They seem to offer about 10 recommended wines for the day.
Not just wine, they also have a wide selection of craft gin, craft beer, and Japanese sake.
チョッパー46
All the food is good. Overall, the seasoning is on the salty side and goes very well with drinks. The photos show mushroom salad, potatoes, skewers, and rare katsuo (bonito) cutlet fry. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside. On top of that, I also ended up having shrimp tomato cream pasta.

Aburidokoro Hi no Zen Takadanobaba Roji Haitta Tokoro Ten is a specialty restaurant run by a Toyosu Market wholesaler, focusing on maguro (tuna) and charcoal grilling.
The spacious table seating is perfect for days when you want to enjoy conversation with friends, and they also have Semi-private room and counter seating, making it easy to use for any occasion.

The fish dishes make generous use of fresh seafood sourced directly from Toyosu. You can fully enjoy the plump texture and aroma of the sea.
The "PREMIUM Omakase fish skewer assortment of 5" features fresh fish carefully grilled one skewer at a time, and its bright presentation is also popular.

The "Sumibi Aburi Rare Steak" is a dish of thick cut hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) lightly seared on the outside and topped with nama uni (fresh sea urchin).
The fragrant tuna goes well with the rich, melt-in-your-mouth nama uni. It also pairs nicely with the wasabi and miso served on the side.
LOVELIN
The fish is so good!! Fish lovers will enjoy the creative preparations. I ended up ordering Japanese sake without even thinking. I stopped by on my own, so I got full pretty quickly, but there were lots of other dishes I still wanted to try, so I’ll definitely come back!

ぐるめマル
I was especially impressed by how good the fish skewers were. The shake (salmon) was especially tasty. The seasoning is not just salt, and they also put thought into options like mala spice. Beyond the fish skewers, there are many dishes worth ordering, such as potato salad, and it is a place I would like to visit again when I come to Takadanobaba.

Motsuyaki Otonba Takadanobaba Ten is a motsuyaki (grilled offal) specialty izakaya, just a 1-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station on the JR Yamanote Line.
Menus are posted all over the walls, giving the place the feel of a classic taishu sakaba (casual Japanese pub). It opens from 12 noon, which also makes it a good spot for daytime drinks.
Photograph:3202fd
The must-order item is “Sengoku Motsuyaki,” made with fresh morning-processed pork offal delivered directly from Shibaura.
They carefully skewer each one by hand and grill them with just the right heat. They also offer limited quantities of rare cuts.
Photograph:mmrmym
The "dashi-yaki tamago (griddled egg with dashi)," said to be popular with regulars, stands out because the egg is not rolled unlike dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet with dashi).
The soft, fluffy egg contains sakura ebi (tiny dried shrimp), and each bite is said to spread a gentle dashi flavor across the palate.

For now, let’s start with motsuyaki (grilled offal skewers)! If you want to climb the stairs of being a drinker one step at a time, let’s keep grilling motsu (offal)! The liver pâté is insanely good. Spread plenty of it on the crispy baguette! The skewers are great too.

A top pick is the yakiton (grilled pork skewers), fragrant from Bincho-tan (high-grade charcoal), which gets great reviews for letting you enjoy a wide range of cuts such as tongue, shiro (pork intestine), and kashira (pork cheek).
In addition to the classic tare sauce and salt, they also offer miso tare sauce, which is another plus since you can enjoy each cut with the seasoning you like best.

The popular menu item is Shizuoka oden (Shizuoka-style oden). The very dark broth is said to be packed with the flavor of kuro hanpen (black fish cake), fish paste products from Shizuoka Prefecture, beef tendon, and more.
The classic style is to sprinkle aonori (green laver) and dashi powder over the skewered ingredients.

As for drinks, they offer a range of options including Japanese sake, shochu, and sours, and many of them are carefully selected. The green tea high in particular was richer than expected and very tasty!

さぼり食記
You can’t go wrong with anything here! The seasoning is excellent, and the sunagimo (gizzard) and green onion otoshi (small appetizer) was also incredibly good. It was the kind of place that made me want to keep coming back on the quiet.

Not only yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), but they also offer a wide assortment of seafood skewers. By grilling them slowly over charcoal, they bring out the fish’s natural good flavor and finish them with a rich aroma.

The "jidori (free-range chicken) chanko-nabe (sumo-style Hot Pot)" is a menu item you will want to gather around and enjoy with a group. It is said to be very filling, with a slightly rich soup packed with large pieces of chicken and plenty of vegetables.
To finish, you can add beaten egg and enjoy zosui (rice porridge) full of good flavor.

In addition to grilled skewers, they also had a wide range of dishes including Hot Pot, rice dishes, and seafood. The chanko-nabe (sumo-style Hot Pot) came loaded with vegetables and meat, and its slightly strong seasoning went well with alcohol.

・Chicken shiso (perilla) cheese rolls
Melted cheese oozes from inside the piping hot, juicy chicken, and the shiso adds a fresh flavor. It goes well with both beer and highballs!

They also offer a wide variety of snacks and seasonal à la carte dishes.
The "Waseda Korokke (croquette)" is a Homemade dish with a comforting feel, flavored with cheese sauce and ketchup. It is larger than a regular croquette and very satisfying to eat.
They also offer a full lineup of Banquet courses with All you can drink.
The "Wasshoi Special Course" lets you enjoy a total of 7 dishes and 3 hours of All you can drink. It is packed with classic izakaya favorites such as assorted sashimi, chicken Kara-age, and yakitori.
I visited for the first time because I wanted a casual drink. Draft beer at this price? Surprising. Every dish was filling, and if you care most about value for money, I think this is the only choice. The place was lively with students and regulars around me, but it did not feel annoyingly noisy, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The kushiyaki (grilled skewers) was better than I expected, and I ended up ordering more.

It had the kind of nice atmosphere you would expect from an izakaya (Japanese pub). The food was delicious, and the value for money was hard to beat. They had a wide selection of Japanese sake, which I really enjoyed. I would love to go again!

Taishu Yakitori Sakaba Irodori is a yakitori izakaya just a 1-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station on the JR Yamanote Line, making it easy to get to.
Inside the charming renovated kominka (traditional Japanese house), there are table seats and counter seats. It is said to be an easy place to use for everything from a drink after work to a Banquet.
The recommended menu items are yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) made with Tottori Prefecture's Takumi no Daisendori. Using binchotan (high-grade charcoal), they grill the surface until crisp, bringing out a juicy taste.
In addition to standards like thigh and tsukune (chicken meatball), they also offer daily specials.

One thing that sets this place apart is that you can enjoy all kinds of drinks mixed with Kinmiya shochu as the base. They also stock mixers made by Kodama Inryo.
You can also have fun customizing your drink with pickled plums or Lemon slices.
Every yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) had a rich charcoal grilled flavor, and I especially liked the tsukune (chicken meatball skewer), which was light and tender. The unpretentious atmosphere felt comfortable, and it was the kind of place that made me lose track of time. Next time, I want to come and enjoy it from earlier in the day!

Inside the restaurant’s retro atmosphere, the savory aroma of sumibi-yaki (charcoal grilling) whets your appetite right away. The skewers are carefully grilled, and the juicy thigh meat in particular stands out. The tare (sweet soy-based sauce) is not too sweet either, making it a flavor that pairs well with drinks.

The "Wagyu Rare Katsu" is a dish of lightly fried Special Wagyu with a tender texture, packed with the rich flavor you expect from lean meat.

A menu item that meat lovers rave about is the "Thick Cut Beef Tongue." They slowly grill thick-cut Beef Tongue over charcoal.
The salt seasoning is just right, and the more you chew, the more flavor comes through.
I visited on a weekday evening. Since it was a fully private room, I was glad I could relax without worrying about the people around me. The signature charcoal grilled Beef Tongue was fragrant, thick cut, and satisfying to eat. Drinks came quickly, and the course with All you can drink felt like a good value. It is also close to the station, making it an easy place to stop by when you want to grab a quick drink.

The menu focuses mainly on Tohoku (northeastern Japan) dishes, and the strong aroma of charcoal grilling in particular really whetted my appetite. There was also a wide range of All you can drink plans, which made it easy to enjoy without overdoing it. If I am ever unsure where to go for drinks in Takadanobaba (Takadanobaba), I would like to come back here.
