Among this restaurant's Horumon dishes, one of the most popular is the "Meibutsu Negi Reba." The generous negi (green onion) topping makes quite an impact.
It is said to have none of the liver's distinctive flavor, and you can enjoy the springy bite and great taste that only fresh meat offers.
Photograph:Mizunox
In the cold season, the Wagyu motsu Hot Pot is also a must-try dish, and it looks hearty too. You can choose either miso or soy sauce for the soup.
For the motsu, they use beef marucho (small intestine), a cut often called the very definition of Horumon. To finish, they recommend adding noodles to the soup and enjoying it that way.
新木珈琲
This liver was so good, absolutely the best! It had no off notes, was tender, and paired with the green onion and sauce, it was seriously great. The lively buzz of the place and the staff’s laid-back attitude felt just right, and I enjoyed a fun and tasty time in a really nice atmosphere.

Of course, the first thing I ordered was motsuni (stewed offal). From the very first bite, I found myself nodding and thinking, “No wonder people talk about this.” The rich flavor let the sweet fat and its unique umami seep through, and even with the bold seasoning, it never felt heavy—in fact, it made me want another drink. Whether with beer or shochu (Japanese distilled spirit), this one dish alone felt good enough to keep me drinking all night.

It also has a reputation for offering authentic Edomae-zushi (Tokyo-style sushi) at a casual price, so To finish you will definitely want to order nigiri sushi.
On this day, the sushi Omakase assortment was served in a striking stepped presentation. Every topping looked exceptionally fresh, and the balance with the shari (sushi rice) seemed beautifully done.

The Naruto Course starts with a seasonal sashimi assortment, followed by small side dishes and nigiri, for a very Manzoku lineup✨The toppings are all fresh, and the rare-cut salmon katsu was especially melt-in-your-mouth good…! The nigiri rice is small and easy to eat, with a perfect balance that lets you enjoy it little by little while drinking. The calm atmosphere also makes it easy to talk quietly, and I enjoyed a relaxed, grown-up sushi experience.

This sashimi assortment comes with ise ebi (spiny lobster), and it feels almost too luxurious. Its presence is completely worthy of the leading role. The sweet ise ebi gets better with every bite, with more umami spreading across your palate...! The salmon, tuna, and white fish are all very fresh and high quality.

The vegetable wrapped skewers are especially memorable, and when you take a bite of the tomato wrap, the fruit's sweetness and juiciness burst across your mouth. Not only the grilled skewers, but also the Outside skirt skewer and pork belly are grilled to a fragrant finish, making them great with drinks.

The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was juicy, and the spot-on grilling was irresistible... Tsubu-wasa (whelk with wasabi) was a great match of the whelk’s texture and the sharp heat of wasabi, making it a perfect dish to go with drinks! The atmosphere inside was also very nice, and the calm lighting and clean interior created a comfortable space that felt so relaxing, which made conversation with friends flow easily.

The first thing I ordered was A5 Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) meat sushi. It looked beautiful and had a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Next, I also tried the live ikezukuri (sliced sashimi prepared from a live fish or shellfish) of Ise ebi (spiny lobster) shipped directly from Mie Prefecture, and enjoyed its fresh, springy texture. I chose a course with All you can drink included, and was satisfied with the wide selection.

One thing we recommend for people who love to drink is the lemon sour. They offer more than 30 kinds of distinctive lemon sours, including frozen versions and ones with ginger.
They also have a wide selection of Japanese sake, with close to 20 kinds of local sake Specially selected from around Japan.
Every sashimi dish was fresh and thick cut, and the hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) Nakaochi in particular was rich with fat and melted in the mouth. The daily recommended menu is also full of options, so you can enjoy seasonal fish. Even though it is an izakaya (Japanese pub), it has a calm atmosphere, making it an easy place to stop by for a drink after work or for a casual meal with others.

Surprising selection of lemon sours! I think this restaurant mainly focuses on seafood, but the drinking members of our group were more into the wide selection of lemon sours. Of course, they also have plenty of other drinks, including Japanese sake. During happy hour, it seems you can drink at a pretty good price. It is also close to the station, so it seemed like a very good spot for a casual drink.

Shinagawa Koshitsu Washoku Matsumoto is a Japanese-style izakaya on the 1st floor of Shinagawa East One Tower, directly connected to Shinagawa Station, and is popular for letting guests enjoy good drinks along with dishes made with seasonal ingredients.
The interior, filled with Japanese charm, offers a refined space for adults, and it also has fully private rooms where guests can relax.
The dishes created by chefs who trained at famous restaurants stay true to the basics while showing careful creativity with the ingredients.
There are also many dishes made with luxurious seafood, and on this day the grilled tarabagani (red king crab) seemed to offer a savory aroma and the sweet taste of plump meat.
The food lineup is strong not only for A la carte dishes but also for course menus, letting you enjoy seasonal ingredients throughout the year. In the colder months, Hot Pot dishes are just right.
They also offer All you can drink plans, so you can fully enjoy your favorite drink, whether local sake, shochu, or wine, while thinking about what pairs best with the food.
It is within walking distance of the station, so access is convenient. The interior has a calm atmosphere, and one of its highlights is that it comes with Private rooms. I chose the "Hana" course with All you can drink, and all 11 dishes were tasty, with the meat and croquettes standing out in particular. The portion size was also Manzoku, and the drinks included in the All you can drink selection were plentiful.

First, I was impressed by the nigiri sushi (hand-formed sushi), which showed real artisan skill. Each piece featured fresh toppings and was shaped with great care, with a rich taste that melted in the mouth. The nigiri made with seasonal fish was especially outstanding, and each bite let me feel the change of the season. The seasonal a la carte dishes were also excellent. Every dish made with ingredients at their peak was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor.

Anyway, the sashimi is just great‼️It’s a great value! It’s nice when you want to go out for a quick casual drink. Sashimi is the best kind of snack to go with sake (Japanese rice wine). The service was good too. I’d like to go again.

I really enjoyed the sashimi and Japanese sake. In particular, the tuna kama (collar) was rich with fat and paired well with the dry Japanese sake◎Inside, the restaurant was decorated with lots of fishing lures and a large gyotaku (fish print).
