Kakurega Private room Izakaya Kakoiya Kanayama Ten

Kakurega Koshitsu Izakaya Kakoiya Kanayama Ten is an all-Private room izakaya about a 1-minute walk from JR Kanayama Station, and it is well known for the tasty creative dishes prepared by a head chef who trained in Hakata.

The restaurant has a spacious interior with a Japanese feel. Just as the name suggests, it is said to have a calm atmosphere like a hideaway.

The "octopus Kara-age" is served freshly fried. The coating has a crispy texture, and the octopus is nicely springy, making it a satisfying dish.

A squeeze of lemon adds tartness and freshness, giving it a lighter taste.

The "tokusei roast beef (special roast beef)" is a dish slowly finished at a low temperature. It is cut slightly thick, with a moist and tender texture.

The more you chew, the more flavor spreads, and the sweet-savory sauce is said to make it taste even better.

First, we toasted with beer and umeshu (plum wine). The alcohol menu was extensive too‼︎The top recommendation is the Hakata bo gyoza (Hakata-style stick dumplings)‼︎They had a spicy seasoning, and it felt like a dish I was trying for the first time‼︎There were various kinds of Clay Pot dishes too, and we chose the tai kabuto (Sea Bream head) Clay Pot〜The rice soaked up plenty of flavor and tasted great〜

きしころりん

The fully private room was calm and relaxing, which made it easy even for first timers to feel comfortable using it. It was just the right kind of place for a night when you want to enjoy drinks while casually picking at tasty dishes without any fuss. I want to go back again!

Kirakuni

Kirakuni is a izakaya pub popular for dishes made with fresh seafood delivered straight from the market and prepared with skilled technique. It is located on the 6th floor of a building, about a 1-minute walk from the North Exit of JR Kanayama Station.

The restaurant has fully private rooms throughout with Sunken kotatsu seating, so guests can relax without worrying about the people around them.

The eye catching “Akaji Kakugo no Kirakuni Kobore Sushi” is all about its bold presentation. Just like the name suggests, it is topped with so much seafood that it nearly spills over.

The balance of seafood and vinegared rice is spot on, and it is said to be so good it naturally brings a smile to your face.

The "Kirakuni no Hamayaki assortment" is a recommended menu item for days when you want to enjoy a barbecue mood. It uses the grill at (Each) seat, and you cook the seafood right there.

You can enjoy not only the flavor of the seafood, but also the sounds and aromas as it grills.

カスタード姫

Everything we had was good, but since Kirakuni emphasizes Japanese food, the fish dishes and a la carte items were especially tasty. The obanzai (Kyoto-style home cooking) assortment was the best! You can enjoy a little bit of Kirakuni’s standout dishes, including simmered items and fish. The drinks went down so easily!

I tried Juyondai for the first time. I was really impressed by its gently spreading aroma and its clean yet rich umami. The lineup of Japanese sake was surprisingly extensive, with one rare label after another that you do not usually see at other izakaya. The staff clearly loved Japanese sake too, and they carefully explained the flavor notes and the best way to enjoy each one, which made the whole experience very comfortable.

Sumibiyaki Rojiura Kado

"Sumibiyaki Rojiura Kado" is an izakaya serving creative dishes made with seasonal Special ingredients. It is about a 4-minute walk from JR Kanayama Station.

At the counter seats surrounding the irori (sunken hearth), you can relax while watching the ingredients cook over the fire.

The popular menu item, genji-yaki (charcoal slow-roasting), is slowly cooked over charcoal to bring out the ingredient’s rich flavor and savory aroma.

This is “nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) no genji-yaki.” The salt seasoning is said to be just right, and the rich taste of the fat fills your mouth.

The “kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) no genshi-yaki (primitive charcoal grilling)” is a well-reviewed dish said to offer more and more umami with every bite, making it highly satisfying. The nice aroma of charcoal is also said to bring out the delicious flavor of the Wagyu even more.

Adding the side of salt is said to make the sweetness of the fat stand out even more.

mitsu106

They actually sear the katsuo (bonito) over straw in the open kitchen, so just watching it makes you know it will be good. The staff were friendly, and the drink selection was wide, which was great. The food came quickly, and the plating was beautiful, so it looked great too. The restaurant also seems able to handle large groups, so it should come in handy in the coming season.

Every dish was more carefully made than expected, and each one tasted properly good and refined. The lineup was all nicely aromatic and went great with drinks, but the sanma (Pacific saury) and Kuroge Wagyu (Japanese Black Wagyu) grilled over an open fire, the Rojiura Kado shumai, and the charcoal grilled winter mackerel Clay Pot were especially outstanding!

Designed by a space designer, the interior is filled with Japanese charm and comes with many fully private rooms with doors. It has a simple yet comfortable atmosphere.

Another nice point is that if you order at least 1 dish, you can add the All you can eat oden (Japanese stew) option. You can pick your favorite items and enjoy them in a self service style.

The large pieces are said to be well soaked with a gently seasoned broth.

mikadream

The 5-skewer yakitori assortment is carefully grilled one by one, with both a nice char and juicy texture. The honey cream cheese combines creamy cheese with accents of honey and black pepper, making it a great match for wine. The potato salad is topped with plenty of ikura (salmon roe), making it pure luxury.

They also had all kinds of izakaya menu items, and they were really good. My personal favorites were the bo gyoza (stick dumplings) and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) grilled with salt, both of which went great with drinks and were seriously good. The Kara-age was big and well seasoned, and it was really satisfying to eat too.

A recommended menu item To finish is tai-meshi (Sea Bream rice) cooked in nanbu tekki (traditional Nambu cast-iron ware). The rice used is “Hyakumangoku” from the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture, and it is said to have a faint sweetness.

If you cannot finish it all, they can make the rest into onigiri (rice balls) for takeout.

The food is great, and the drink selection is extensive too. The good value umeshu (plum wine) served in a kettle is easy on the wallet and highly recommended! For food, I’d recommend the potato salad made right in front of you, the toro-saba (fatty mackerel), which is also a house specialty, and To finish, the tai-meshi (Sea Bream rice). Starting with the otoshi (table charge appetizer) sashimi assortment, every dish was delicious. It was a great meal!

The only way to describe it is absolutely amazing. They showed me to a counter seat, and everything was delicious. The staff were kind and explained everything as well. It made me feel they were really confident in their food. I kept drinking Chita Highballs until I was tipsy, and the highballs were a perfect 100 too. I have nothing bad to say.

Every obanzai (Kyoto-style home dishes) dish was delicious, and the sashimi and oysters were as fresh and tasty as it gets! I can see why my seafood-loving friend recommended this place. The restaurant's recommended Japanese sake paired perfectly with the oysters. The oyster gratin we had next, the stewed motsu (offal) too, and even the clam broth ramen to finish were all delicious!

The “Maguro no Futomaki” made with plenty of natural hon-maguro (bluefin tuna) is said to be a filling dish with a high level of Manzoku.

They also have a full lineup of Hot Pot dishes that you can order from per person. It looks like you can choose the soup flavor from soy sauce, Chige, or miso.

The kaisen-nabe (seafood Hot Pot) here is packed with seafood, and it is said to be so good you'll want to finish every last drop of the soup.

I visited this place on a recommendation from someone at work. It has a nice atmosphere, and I think people of all ages can enjoy it. The food was also very good and tasty. It was my first time trying hire-zake (hot sake with grilled fish fin), and it was aromatic and delicious. It was a lovely restaurant with a calm atmosphere where I could relax and take my time.

Twist Faucet Highball Taishu Shusen Terumae Kanayama Izumi

Hineri Jaguchi High Taishu Shusen Terumae Kanayamaizumi is an entertainment izakaya just about a 1-minute walk from JR Kanayama Station, located on the 5th floor of a building.

The interior mainly has table seating. If you choose a Private room with a more private feel, you can relax and enjoy conversation with friends and your group.

The A la carte All you can drink plan is very popular, and it has a unique style where alcohol comes out of taps installed all around the restaurant.

By adding different kinds of alcohol and soda, you can make original drinks to suit your own taste.

The "Wafu Karikari Chibi Xiaolongbao" is a dish of crispy fried xiaolongbao topped with plenty of sweet and tangy kurosu (black vinegar) sauce.

The texture and aroma of white sesame make a nice accent. They are bite-sized, and you may want to keep eating one after another.

All of the dishes were delicious, but my favorite was the “yogan-yaki (lava stone grilled) Hamburger Steak.” The 100% dosan-gyu (Hokkaido beef) Hamburger Steak is served rare inside, so you can cook it on the hot lava stone to your preferred doneness and enjoy it✨Another favorite was the “ayu (sweetfish) grilled with salt.” The skin was grilled crisp, and the flesh was tender! It even had roe inside, and it was so good〜!!

First, enjoy the sweet and tangy Terumae-kushi while sipping a plum soda made with Nanko umeshu (plum liqueur) poured from the tap♪ Then enjoy Micho (Fruit vinegar) Pomegranate Sour with the Hamburger Steak made with 100% Hokkaido beef grilled on lava stone♪ Every dish is tasty, so you really can’t go wrong. It’s a nice izakaya where you can even drink Micho♡
