Tanka Kiyokawa Honten

Tanka Kiyokawa Honten is a meat restaurant where you can enjoy high quality beef dishes. They also offer a wide selection of drinks, including shochu and wine, so you can visit with the casual feel of an izakaya.

The two story interior has a warm wooden feel and comes with counter seats, table seats, zashiki (tatami seating), and Private room seating. It is located 10 minutes from Watanabedori Station.

They offer both à la carte dishes and courses. In particular, their Beef Tongue dishes have a great reputation. They age it carefully to bring out its tenderness and rich flavor.

The photo shows the popular “tan-sashi (lightly seared Beef Tongue sashimi),” which sometimes sells out. It is said to let you fully enjoy the rich taste of the lean meat and fat in your mouth.

"Tanka no Gyutan-yaki (grilled beef tongue)" at Tanka, a skewer-grilled tongue dish, is one of the signature menu items and is also included in the course menu. It is said to be an excellent dish with a thick cut and tender texture, while still letting you enjoy the bite of the tongue, and it pairs perfectly with alcohol.

They also offer courses with All you can drink, which is great for those who want to enjoy plenty of drinks.

The tongue and Hanging tender were excellent, just as people say. The quality of the meat seems very high. The salad and other menu items were also good. I think the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. They also have a wide selection of drinks. The draft beer was properly chilled and tasted great too.

When I told the taxi driver I was going to this restaurant, he seemed jealous. The history of Beef Tongue in Fukuoka is said to be a little older than in Sendai. The Beef Tongue here comes skewered on sticks. The meat flavor is excellent. The senmai (third stomach tripe) came with a fairly salty sauce that pairs well with drinks. I also tried a slightly unusual menu item called tan nanban (Beef Tongue nanban), and that was GOOD too.

Shokudo Ginmi

Shokudo Ginmi, about a 6-minute walk from Tenjinminami Station, is a high-quality izakaya where you can enjoy freshly cooked Clay Pot rice and seasonal dishes in course meals.

The restaurant occupies a three-story building, with counter seating on the 1st floor where you can watch the cooking, a variety of Private rooms on the 2nd floor, and table seating on the 3rd floor that can also be used for Banquets.

They offer several kinds of courses to match different contents and price points. If you want to fully enjoy your drinks, a course with All you can drink is recommended.

The photo shows their signature menu item, freshly cooked Clay Pot rice, served at the end of the course. It has a pleasant sweetness and tastes great, making it a perfect match for Japanese sake.

Each carefully prepared dish is said to have refined seasoning, and the restaurant is known for its high level of Manzoku. The beautiful presentation that looks great on social media is also part of the appeal.

The photo shows beautifully plated Appetizers that let you enjoy a little of various dishes made with seasonal ingredients from Kyushu (southern Japan). The selection and number of items change depending on the season and the course.

どん底から

From freshly cooked Clay Pot rice to first dashi made with honkarebushi (fully cured bonito flakes), there is no compromise at any stage, from ingredient selection to prep. Each dish, made generously with seasonal ingredients, brings a surprise, and the lineup of Japanese sake is extensive. At the counter, you can enjoy chatting with the chefs, while in the Private room, you can have a quiet meal. This is a place you will want to visit on a Special night, combining the easygoing feel of an izakaya with the class of a kappo (traditional Japanese fine dining restaurant).

・Kannazuki course
The food is, as expected, delicious, and the staff service is also good. They also explain each dish clearly. What was especially great this time was the All you can drink Japanese sake. The limited bottles and junmai daiginjo (super premium junmai sake), among others, were incredibly good!

Yakitori Inada

Yakitori Inada is a yakitori restaurant located along Sumiyoshi-dori, about a 12-minute walk from Hakata Station. They always stock around 10 kinds of Special Japanese sake from across Japan, so you can enjoy yakitori in a relaxed izakaya-style setting.

The interior has a calm feel with the warmth of wood, and includes counter seats, table seats, and Private room.

They use Amakusa Daio (a rare local chicken breed) from Kumamoto Prefecture, often called a legendary jidori. The more you chew, the more you can enjoy its juicy meat juices and deep umami. You can also enjoy fresh asabiki-dori (freshly slaughtered morning chicken).

Every yakitori skewer is said to be delicious and goes great with beer. One of the best parts of the counter seats is watching the chefs grill right in front of you.

In addition to yakitori, they also offer a full lineup of a la carte dishes such as fried items, simmered dishes, and snacks. Every dish is not only delicious but also known for its beautiful presentation.

The "Special Wagyu Uni Roll" in the photo is one of the three signature menu items. Both the uni and the Wagyu are said to melt in your mouth and taste amazing.

ブン510051

I came to Inada-san, a well-known restaurant. It somehow feels stylish. I had the Sumiyoshi Course with All you can drink. Each dish was tasty and beautifully presented. The Amakusa Daio (large native Japanese chicken breed) had a nice firm bite, and the chicken itself was great. The kashiwa gohan (seasoned chicken rice) and the drinks both had a refined taste. It is good value for money.

Masa-17on

・Chikuzen Course
It starts with a small appetizer and bagna cauda, followed by Special Wagyu uni (sea urchin) rolls, skewers, a Wagyu Tenderloin cutlet sandwich, and more. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was undeniably delicious, and the uni roll was outstanding. The Japanese sake was good too. Considering what you get, the price is reasonable, and I will visit again.

Gaogao

Gaogao is located in front of Imaizumi Park, about a 4-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. This is a Clay Pot izakaya where you can enjoy Clay Pot rice, à la carte dishes, and drinks made with seasonal ingredients from Kyushu.

The stylish interior has the warmth of wood and an open feel, with counter seats, table seats, and Private room seating.

The signature Clay Pot rice can be ordered either à la carte or as part of a course. Because they cook it from uncooked rice until fluffy, it takes 30〜40 minutes to be served. If you want to try it, it’s best to order early.

The photo shows the "madai (red sea bream) and ikura (salmon roe) Clay Pot," where you can enjoy the pop of the fish roe.

There is also a 120-minute A la carte All you can drink option, though it is limited to online reservations. Every dish is said to be great, and people say they pair perfectly with the drinks.

The photo shows “chochin (undeveloped egg yolks) and Saga gyu (Saga beef) sukiyaki.” You can enjoy the pop of the undeveloped egg yolks before birth and the melt-in-your-mouth texture of Saga gyu, they say.

I’d been curious about this place for a long time. This time I was able to make a reservation smoothly, so it was my first visit. The Clay Pot rice was the best♡The menu also had some unusual items, and everything paired well with alcohol and tasted great. I’ll be back. It was a great meal♡

はるちゃん醬醬(公式)

Also, the dish with white figs and cream cheese had an excellent balance, and the sparkling Japanese sake "Kaze no Mori" from Nara that we had with the meal was also really good! The fizzy drink paired perfectly with the freshly cooked kama-meshi (rice cooked in an iron pot).

Inabacho Ikkei

Inabacho Ikkei is located on B2 of the Tenjin Business Center, directly connected to Tenjin Station. This motsu-nabe (offal Hot Pot) restaurant serves tasty Kyushu dishes, including its signature aburi motsu-nabe (seared offal Hot Pot). It also offers a wide selection of Japanese sake and wine, making it easy to use like an izakaya.

The restaurant has a yatai (street stall)-like atmosphere, with counter and table seating available.

The specialty "aburi motsu-nabe (seared offal Hot Pot)" is popular because it is simply so delicious. They slowly smoke the offal once over binchotan (high-grade charcoal) before searing it, which lets the extra fat drip away and brings out more aroma, richness, and umami.

It goes well with the "shimofuri basashi (marbled horse sashimi)," which is said to be fresh and melt in your mouth. It also pairs well with chilled sake.

Vegetable wrapped skewers, made by wrapping fresh vegetables in juicy meat, are also one of the specialties. They all sound good, but the most popular are "retasu-maki (lettuce wrap)," "abokado-maki (avocado wrap)," and "shiso-maki (perilla wrap)."

They also offer a wide range of izakaya menu items that go well with drinks, including sashimi, potato salad, and edamame.

てりたまJap Boy

The Japanese sake at this place is also quite good. They serve it by the glass, it is reasonably priced, and you can try all kinds, and I ended up drinking almost all of the Japanese sake from Kyushu. motsu-nabe (offal Hot Pot). A soy sauce based motsu-nabe. So good. Really good. It goes great with drinks. It really does. I ended up finishing the Hot Pot in no time.

First, the recommendation set. The pork Kara-age was crispy and juicy. I had a highball to drink. My second drink was beer. You can order the grilled skewers from 4 o'clock. This was my first time trying them. Everything was good, and the lettuce roll in particular had the best texture. Even though it's a motsu-nabe (offal Hot Pot) place, the grilled skewers are great.

The genshiyaki (primitive-style grilling) in the photo stands ingredients upright around the charcoal, making them crisp on the outside and tender inside. The warayaki (straw-fire grilling) is cooked over rising flames to lock in the umami.

They offer a full lineup of both à la carte dishes and courses, including courses with All you can drink. You can enjoy a Special selection of sake from around Japan, with a main focus on local Kyushu sake.

The sashimi is known for being very fresh and delicious, and for pairing well with the drinks. In the back right of the photo is kawahagi (thread-sail filefish) usuzukuri, said to be very sweet.

It’s a very beautiful, lovely restaurant. We ordered a course meal with All you can drink. It started with an Appetizers salad, then sashimi, and iwashi (sardine) grilled with salt! Everything was so good I couldn’t get enough. For the All you can drink, I had bottled beer, highballs, and white wine, and left completely Manzoku.

Yakitori no Hachibei Tenjin Ten

Yakitori no Hachibei Tenjin Ten is a place where you can enjoy Hakata-style yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) in great variety along with drinks. It is a 6-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station.

The lively interior has an open layout with no partitions, and the counter seats in particular let you watch the chefs at work up close. There are also raised zashiki (tatami seating) seats.

In Hakata, yakitori refers to anything skewered, no matter the ingredient. Since opening, the restaurant has served tare-yaki made with a sauce they have kept adding to over the years, along with shio-yaki. They grill everything over high heat on binchotan (white charcoal) in a large hearth.

The tsukune (chicken meatball skewer), made from shaped ground chicken, is said to be excellent and a perfect match for Japanese sake.

One thing that stands out is the wide range of izakaya menu items that pair well with drinks, not just yakitori. Each dish is carefully prepared and said to be very good.

The restaurant's recommended "mentai dashimaki (Japanese rolled omelet with seasoned pollock roe)" is a great dish with mentaiko (seasoned pollock roe) made from the ovaries of Alaska pollock pickled with chili pepper and other seasonings inside a dashi flavored rolled omelet.

みみみmk

We ordered pork belly, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), edamame skewers, tatsuta-age (Japanese-style fried) mountain yam, along with beer and Japanese sake. Everything was delicious, and we had a very good time.

The yakitori and kushiyaki (grilled skewers) are great. The goma-saba (sesame dressed mackerel) and the free refills of fresh cabbage served as otoshi (small appetizer) are also tasty. They have (assorted varieties available) local Japanese sake from the area and nearby parts of Kyushu, and I could really feel how much Kyushu sake has evolved〜The aroma and flavor were very good♪♪The wide round counter surrounding the kushiyaki kitchen and the atmosphere of the omoya-zukuri (traditional main house style) interior were also very nice.

The interior has a stylish look with natural wood tones, and it offers counter seats, table seats, and Private room. It is about a 9-minute walk from Watanabedori Station.

You can order from either the course menu or à la carte. If drinks are your priority, a course with All you can drink is recommended. Of course, it also includes yakitori (grilled chicken skewers).

They are particular about using ingredients from Kyushu as much as possible, and they carefully grill them slowly so the outside turns crisp while the inside keeps in the juices.

The izakaya menu also has a full lineup of dishes that go well with drinks, and everything gets great reviews.

The "Cream Cheese Tofu," said to pair well with wine, is a dish made by blending smooth cream cheese with a house recipe to give it a tofu-like texture. It is said to be especially good when spread on a crispy toasted baguette.

They grill the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) right where you can see it from the counter, and the smell alone makes you hungry. (Since they fan it with a uchiwa (traditional Japanese fan), people who are sensitive to smells might prefer a table.) For drinks, I had aragoshi mikan umeshu (chunky mandarin orange plum wine) and banana umeshu (banana plum wine), and both were so good that I ended up ordering a second glass.

パイセーン

The menu has yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) as well as many izakaya dishes. I ordered yakitori, teba-age (fried chicken wings), and my favorite potato salad. To finish, I had tsufo onigiri (rice ball loaded with rich seafood), a combo of uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe). The uni had no off notes and was easy to eat. I recommend it. The wings were super tender, and the meat came off the bone easily, so they were easy to eat.

Nagasaki Prefecture is the owner’s hometown. The restaurant has a wide selection of Nagasaki shochu and Unzen shochu.

The very popular “Unzen Ham” in the photo is ham made in Unzen City, known for its juicy and rich flavor. You eat it with mayonnaise and mustard. It is also included in the “Unzen Shimabara Course.”

あんどおぅ。

The staff are friendly and thoughtful, too. The grilled items, from unusual picks to classic skewers, are on a whole different level. The tsukune (chicken meatball skewer) in particular is one you will definitely want to order again. I asked, and they said it is a mix of beef, pork, chicken, and fish. It is juicy and really good. Even the way the person in charge of the grill carefully cooks each skewer is a great sight to watch. The side dishes and drinks are also amazingly good.

グルメな人に憧れて

First of all, the yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was excellent. The contrast between the nicely charred outside and the juicy inside was fantastic. The balance of tare (sweet soy glaze) and salt was just right, and it definitely pairs well with drinks. The negima (chicken and scallion skewer) stood out in particular, with sweet scallions that brought out the rich flavor of the chicken.

KING518

The otoshi (small appetizer) potato salad comes topped with mitarashi-an (sweet soy glaze), making it an unusual potato salad that gets more and more addictive as you eat. They also say refills of the otoshi potato salad are free. The goma kampachi (amberjack with sesame sauce) I had been wanting to try had great freshness, and the sweetness of the sesame sauce with the heat of the wasabi made it a dish that went perfectly with drinks. The agedashi godo-fu (fried sesame tofu) also had a wonderfully creamy texture and was just right as a dish to go with alcohol.

For those who enjoy alcohol, a plan with All you can drink only is recommended. You can order food to match your tastes and budget while enjoying as much of your favorite drinks as you like.

It was basically affordable and tasty! More than anything, the drinks were cheap, and it looks like they also have A la carte All you can drink, so the price felt very satisfying for the quality. They also had a great selection of snack type dishes, and I was able to relax and enjoy my drinks.

30歳独身女

Everything was delicious, and we definitely ordered too much. Every single dish was done to a very high level, and we were very Manzoku. I especially liked the enokitake (enoki mushroom) with anchovy butter, which was perfect as a snack to go with drinks. The oysters were plump too, and this time we had them with negi (green onion) ponzu sauce, but next time I want to try the kaki-horen (oysters with spinach).

Oden is one of Japan’s traditional simmered dishes. It usually uses a seafood based dashi broth, but what sets this place apart is its tori-dashi oden (oden with chicken broth).

There are many different ingredients to choose from, but if you are not sure what to order, the “Taisho no Today's assortment” is a good pick. You can enjoy an Omakase selection of 5 kinds.

The yakitori, grilled to perfection by a professional cook called a yakishi (grill master), is also said to be very good. It apparently goes great with drinks.

There is also a full lineup of izakaya-style a la carte dishes. They also offer an "A la carte All you can drink" course, which is perfect for people who want to drink a lot.

ks541202

Everything was good, every single dish. I wondered whether oden (Japanese hot pot items simmered in broth) would be right for this time of year, but it was tasty too. The yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was all thick and plump. No doubt about it. We finished a bottle of white wine and got completely tipsy. The staff also explained things carefully and were friendly, which was nice ^_^

I ordered the Omakase five-item oden assortment. The daikon radish and atsuage (deep-fried tofu) had soaked up the oden broth and tasted really good. I also ordered tsukune-dama (chicken meatball), and it was juicy with no off notes, and went well with drinks! The miso? next to the karashi (Japanese mustard) pairs really well with the oden, so try eating it with plenty of that.

Inside, the soft glow of lanterns creates a modern Chinese style space. It is located a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station.

They offer both courses and à la carte dishes. In addition to courses that come with both All you can eat and All you can drink, they also have an All you can drink only course, which is a nice perk for people who enjoy alcohol.

The photo shows the eye catching "potato salad," known for its social media friendly look. You can enjoy it either as part of a course or à la carte.

The "kobore gyoza (overflowing gyoza)" is the most popular item in the shop's signature kobore series. You can fully enjoy the well reviewed and tasty gyoza.

Other options include "kobore kaisen (overflowing seafood)", where you can enjoy fresh sashimi, and "kobore tebasaki (overflowing chicken wings)", with crispy skin and juicy meat inside. They all pair well with drinks.

DAIXIAO

We started the toast with a glass of beer. After that, drinks other than beer, including sours, are All you can drink. Then we enjoyed a range of drinks while ordering dish after dish. Although there are limits on how many items you can order at one time and on which items can be ordered, the lineup hits all the Hakata staples, including Hakata-style bite-size gyoza and mentaiko (spicy cod roe), and everything tasted even better than expected.

As always, both the drinks and food come out quickly! The drinks are still strong, and the food is as good as ever. With this course, you can also order the kobore kaisen (overflowing seafood) and meat assortment once each. I was really happy that I could have marinated sashimi!

Torikizoku Tenjin Oyafuko-dori Ten

Torikizoku Tenjin Oyafuko Dori Ten is a yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) restaurant about a 3-minute walk from Tenjin Station. It offers a wide selection of drinks, and you can enjoy yakitori made with Domestic chicken in a casual izakaya-style setting.

The interior is a calm space with the warmth of wood, and it has both counter and table seating.

A standout feature is that all yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) are available at the same price. Pictured above is their signature “Momo Kizoku-yaki.” You can enjoy the great balance between the flavor of the thigh meat and the sweetness of the scallions. You can choose the seasoning from tare sauce, salt, or spices.

Below is the “Pork Belly Skewer,” made with three-layer pork of lean meat and fat. It lets you enjoy the rich flavor of the fat.

They offer a wide selection of à la carte dishes as well. One big draw is the course that lets you casually enjoy All you can eat and All you can drink for the full menu. It is perfect for people who want to fully enjoy both the drinks and the food.

The “Fuwari Yamaimo no Teppan-yaki” is said to go great with drinks, and you can enjoy the harmony of rich yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam) and full-bodied dashi broth.

This time, I stopped by for a light drink because there was no wait right after opening. I had a Mega Highball and a Chita Highball. In the end, I of course went with the classic kama-meshi (rice cooked in a pot)!

Each yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) order comes with two skewers. We enjoyed a variety of dishes while getting carried away in conversation, so it is hard to give detailed thoughts on each one, but the item that stood out as freshly grilled and really tasty was the teba (chicken wing) with salt! The skin was crisp, the meat was juicy, and it went great with the drinks!

Haresakaba Teru

About a 15-minute walk from Tenjinbashi Station, Hare Sakeba Teru sits quietly along Maizuru Route 772. This izakaya (Japanese pub) draws baseball fans who come to enjoy good food and drinks while watching games on TV.

The cozy, homey interior has both counter and table seating.

All Banquet courses come with All you can drink and include a selection of recommended standard menu items.

The fresh-cut fries in the photo are included in every course and are one of the popular standard items that people say are very tasty. You can also order them A la carte, and it seems many regulars order them every time.

The gyu-motsu-nabe (beef offal Hot Pot), where you can enjoy beef offal, is one of the restaurant's recommended menu items. It is hearty and said to leave you feeling satisfied with ease. The photo shows one serving per person.

They also offer a full range of izakaya dishes that pair perfectly with their wide selection of shochu and Japanese sake.

わあこちゃん。

I always visit to enjoy delicious food and a good time with drinks. Tonight too, we had a fun drinking party while watching TV, and as always, I looked forward to the nama potato fries (fresh cut fries), which I love and are always tasty no matter when I eat them.

The chicken sashimi is truly excellent. Sesame oil and salt go very well with it too. It seems they only serve it until it runs out, so I was glad this came with it. When I also ordered the motsu-nabe (offal Hot Pot), I was Surprising at how much you get for this price. It made me feel sure that this place is really loved by the locals. The drinks are cheap and generously poured.
