As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a bright, refined, and stylish atmosphere. Since I was dining alone on this visit, I chose a seat in the corner. It was a weekday and I arrived a bit late for lunch, so there was only one other group in the café. The space felt wonderfully calm and unhurried—an ambiance that is truly relaxing and inviting.

Inside, you'll find a calm and welcoming atmosphere with a warm brown color scheme. There are four counter seats and several tables. Relaxing music plays in the background, and the shelves are filled with magazines, making it an ideal spot to unwind with a cup of coffee. Although the setting is peaceful, I was a bit anxious since I had my 9-month-old son with me and worried he might make noise. Thankfully, the owner was very kind, which put me at ease.

One of the most popular set menus is the "Zenzai" pictured above, which pairs a refined, delicately sweet red bean soup with a robust green tea. The portion is just right, making it a perfect choice for a light snack.

Ordered iced green tea and matcha shaved ice. The green tea was refreshing with a pleasant bitterness—delicious. The shaved ice was a perfect combination of matcha and sweet red bean paste, and I finished it in no time. The café is very clean and spacious, with plenty of seating. I wonder if it would be crowded in Tokyo, but here in Kagoshima, it was quiet and relaxing. I truly enjoyed my time.

Double Ice Cream (Hojicha & Matcha)

This dessert features a refined, less sweet flavor profile that some may find slightly bitter, but I find it to have a deep, rich umami taste. The Hojicha ice cream stands out with its toasty aroma, which I personally prefer.

にゃんこ大好きはるちゃん

The interior isn’t very spacious, but it’s filled with charming knickknacks. After returning home, I followed the recommendation and warmed the muffin in a toaster. While it wasn’t crunchy, it had a moist, crumbly texture and was certainly satisfying. Since each muffin is quite large, just one is enough to feel full.

The interior is retro, with stylish ornaments and decorations throughout. Even though I visited an hour before closing, the café was completely full. I noticed a customer with an adorable dog, so it seems this is a dog-friendly café. The cake they were enjoying looked absolutely delicious.

The matcha latte offers a clean, refreshing taste. As for the café mocha, the coffee seems to be quite dark-roasted, or perhaps the cocoa used has a higher cacao content, resulting in a pronounced bitterness. It leaves the impression of being a drink for those who appreciate authentic flavors.
