The grilled dishes here are not limited to chicken—special attention is also given to the selection of vegetables.
One of the most popular items is the shiitake mushroom, known for its exceptional flavor. It is available with either a savory sauce or simply seasoned with salt, and both options are highly recommended.

Located in the Corrido Street area, Tori Yoshi Ginza is within walking distance from Ginza, Uchisaiwaicho, and Shimbashi stations.
The restaurant features a U-shaped counter, making it convenient for solo diners or small groups. Yakitori can be ordered as an omakase selection.

The yakitori menu features popular classics like thigh, skin, and liver, as well as some more unique skewers.
Rare selections such as blood vessels and shiratama are some that caught my eye. Each skewer is carefully grilled over charcoal, resulting in flavors and textures that can be instantly differentiated from the very first bite.

Many guests start their meal with the "Sasami Tataki," a lightly seared chicken tenderloin.
Seasoned with just a hint of salt, it is easy to enjoy. Delicate and melt-in-your-mouth, it has a texture reminiscent of prosciutto.

The yakitori here is truly delicious. Sitting at the counter, I watched as the charismatic, tan-skinned chef expertly grilled each skewer right in front of me. His skilled and stylish technique, combined with the inviting aroma, made for a memorable dining experience.

よしろぐ@ぬるぽ
Just when I was amazed by the flavors, the tsukune and kashiwa arrived. The tsukune had just the right amount of cartilage for a perfect texture, while the kashiwa released more depth of flavor with every bite. At this point, I decided to stop taking photos and focus on savoring the food. I wanted to enjoy everything piping hot, rather than pausing for pictures. The crunchy sunagimo and tender, nutty ginkgo nuts were each delicious in their own way. Everything was simply outstanding.

There are two types of chicken skin skewers here—one from the back and one from the belly. I tried both, but personally preferred the skin from the back. The "Oyakawa-su" (chicken skin with vinegar) is outstanding! While chicken skin is usually boiled and finely chopped, here it is grilled first and then cut, giving it a wonderfully savory aroma. Depending on the season, specialties like Anno sweet potato with butter and kombu kelp shabu-shabu are highly recommended. The lotus root and fish dishes are also excellent. Feel free to ask the staff for recommendations—they are happy to suggest the best dishes of the day and pair them with the perfect drinks for your meal.

Gote-yaki
This is the restaurant’s signature dish! Premium chicken, fresh enough to be enjoyed raw, is grilled over charcoal for a bold, smoky flavor. The aromatic, lightly seared chicken is so delicious you won’t be able to stop eating. Truly outstanding!

Located less than a one-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station, Baard House Marukatsu is frequently featured in the media as one of Ginza’s top yakitori restaurants.
As a popular destination, reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends, as it can be difficult to get a table without one.
The yakitori menu is known for its generous portions, with each skewer offering about one and a half times the usual serving size.
The chicken thigh is especially plump and tender, with a satisfying firmness. Each piece is cut large, making every bite hearty and filling.

The "tsukune" (chicken meatball) here is plump, tender, and generously sized at over 100 grams each. It is said to be just as juicy and fluffy as a Hamburg steak.
Break the egg yolk over it, and the added sweetness and umami create an entirely new flavor experience.
HRK.
Every dish that arrived was truly delicious. Paired with exquisite Japanese sake and wines recommended by the owner, the experience was elevated even further. With the sparkling night view of Ginza right before your eyes, it was an exceptionally blissful evening.

Special Oyakodon (Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl)
Enjoy the tender, flavorful chicken and the perfectly seasoned sauce. As with any outstanding oyakodon, the quality of the egg truly stands out here. In addition to the fluffy cooked egg, a fresh egg yolk is placed on top just before serving. Break the yolk and mix it into the bowl to bring all the flavors together for a truly satisfying finish.

Established in 1958, Budouya is a long-standing restaurant in Ginza specializing in chicken dishes.
The restaurant features an impressive facade, marked by two statues at the entrance. With its calm and refined atmosphere, Budouya is an excellent choice for business meetings or special occasions.

The yakitori at Budouya is carefully grilled over binchotan charcoal for a deep, smoky flavor.
Each skewer is made with extra-thick sticks and prepared with meticulous attention to detail. In addition to classics like onion, shiitake mushrooms, and quail eggs, the seasonal vegetables are also highly praised.

The photo features Budouya's house-made smoked liver.
The liver is carefully smoked over time, resulting in a rich, velvety texture that pairs perfectly with alcoholic beverages. The restaurant's special sauce enhances the natural flavor of the liver for an exceptional combination.

First and foremost, the yakitori here is outstanding! Especially the heart skewers—absolutely exceptional. They are tender, juicy, and simply irresistible. This is a must-try dish! The sunagimo (gizzard) with ponzu and the sasami (chicken breast) with wasabi are also excellent choices, offering a refreshing taste and delightful texture that pair perfectly with drinks.

巌流
The skewers include liver, bonjiri (chicken tail), and tsukune (chicken meatball). The liver is served rare, with no trace of gaminess, offering a rich and satisfying flavor. The bonjiri is exceptionally tender and juicy, coated with only the finest fat—Budouya’s bonjiri is truly outstanding. The tsukune features a pleasant crunch from cartilage and is enhanced by a deliciously smoky aroma from the charcoal grill.

Tori Sei is tucked away in a multi-tenant building, offering a hidden, intimate atmosphere.
The restaurant features counter seating, creating a welcoming and homey environment where guests can relax and enjoy their meal. You can also watch the yakitori being grilled right in front of you.

It is said that Tori Sei serves yakitori as an omakase course, with each skewer carefully grilled to perfection. The slow-cooked yakitori is coated in a savory-sweet sauce and has earned a reputation for its exceptional flavor.
Each skewer is expertly prepared one at a time, with the chef adjusting the pace to match your dining speed.

The photo shows the "Kiji-yaki Don," a popular choice even at lunchtime.
Generously cut pieces of chicken are grilled to a golden brown on the outside, while remaining tender and juicy inside. The soy sauce-based glaze is thoroughly absorbed, making each bite of rice irresistibly delicious.

Grilled Chicken over Rice (Kijiyaki Ju)
The skin is perfectly crisped while the meat remains tender and juicy, all infused with the aroma of charcoal grilling. Absolutely delicious—so good, you’ll wish this place was in your neighborhood. The set comes with a light chicken broth soup, a small side of bean sprouts, and pickles.

It had been a while since I last enjoyed such delicious liver. The yakitori was excellent, and the recommended Japanese sake was outstanding as well! I don't come to this area often anymore, but whenever I do, I always stop by. It was a great meal!
