On this visit, the oysters, bluefin tuna, Japanese pufferfish, and mirugai (giant clam) were exceptionally delicious. Piyochi

The three of us visited together and started by ordering uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe), black sea bream, and seared salmon. We also enjoyed a variety of other sushi such as engawa (flounder fin), sea bream, flounder, horse mackerel, raw shrimp, conger eel, and mackerel. Every piece was tender, subtly sweet, and absolutely delicious.

haeys

One thing that stands out about every piece of sushi here is the satisfying texture. The fish is always fresh, never too cold, and seems to melt away in your mouth almost instantly. It may sound contradictory to say the sushi has a firm bite yet "disappears" as you eat it, but that is precisely the signature experience at Matsuri Bina.

カツブラ

The restaurant features both counter and table seating. I enjoyed my sushi at the counter, where the chef prepared each piece right in front of me—a truly engaging experience. For my first order, I chose uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe), and otoro (fatty tuna). The otoro was a special item available only today, with a limit of two pieces per person. The selection of special menu items changes daily.

放浪記

We started our meal with draft beer and an appetizer. To order, simply write down up to 20 pieces of sushi on the provided order sheet. For the first round, we chose 20 pieces including kuruma-ebi (tiger prawn), chu-toro (medium fatty tuna), kanpachi (amberjack), uni (sea urchin), and ikura (salmon roe). Each piece was made fresh right before us with high-quality ingredients, making for an excellent dining experience.

Adult_Black_Cat

It's great that you can mix and match even the JPY 200-for-2 pieces one at a time. I ordered quite a bit, even though I was dining alone—probably thanks to the drinks! I tried two pieces of salmon, seared salmon, yellowtail, horse mackerel, negitoro, a three-kind tuna platter, and fatty tuna with pickled radish roll. Both the sushi rice and the fish were just the right size and absolutely delicious.

Infiniti

To finish, I had Aji (horse mackerel) nigiri and Uni (sea urchin) gunkan. The Aji is always a must—so plump and fresh, just the way I like it. The Uni was also incredibly fresh and delicious. Pure happiness. I’ll definitely be back again.

やっぱり さかな

I have used Minato Zushi for banquets twice. The first time, we reserved the tatami room for about 30 people. The second time, we reserved the area that used to be a raised seating section, and I remember the banquet course meal was especially delicious.

"Shirako Nabe (Soft Roe Hot Pot)"
Minato Zushi offers a wide variety of fresh seafood dishes, allowing guests to enjoy many different flavors. The highlight was the Shirako Nabe, a soft roe hot pot that I reserved in advance—truly exceptional. I also tried the filefish (kawahagi), which was a bit of a splurge, but the liver soy sauce that accompanied it was outstanding. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you have the chance!

Machy

The marinated mackerel (shime-saba) was exceptionally flavorful, with just the right amount of rich fat. I was advised to enjoy it together with kombu kelp, and following that suggestion, I found the kombu to be tender and melt-in-your-mouth, complementing the fish perfectly.

コジュン

Chawanmushi was served as an appetizer, and it was delicious. The selection of sushi was excellent as well. The tableware was also impressive—which is important. One of the highlights here is the inclusion of pressed sushi. I wished I could have had five pieces of the anago (conger eel). The battera (a type of elongated, pressed sushi) features mackerel sandwiched inside, and it was also exceptionally tasty.

The kinmedai (golden eye snapper) was exceptionally delicious. Next, I ordered from today’s recommended board: cutlassfish, Pacific saury, and modori katsuo (bonito)—though I forgot to take a photo of the bonito. The cutlassfish was outstanding, lightly seared to bring out a wonderful aroma that whets the appetite. Both the saury and bonito were also excellent.

波乗りD

I consider myself quite particular when it comes to sushi, but it's important to remember that sushi originally began as fast food in the Edo period. In that sense, being able to enjoy delicious, affordable sushi quickly while standing is true to its roots. For this reason, I believe Tachigui Sushi Suzunari is following the authentic path of sushi as a stand-up sushi restaurant.

The soy sauce had a slightly thick texture when poured into the dish. Tasting it, I noticed a subtle aroma of dashi. When I asked the chef, he explained that bonito flakes and mirin are added to the soy sauce. This results in a smooth, well-rounded flavor, similar to a refined kaeshi (twice-boiled soy sauce).

The "Miura Local Fish Platter," as its name suggests, features a generous selection of locally caught fish from the nearby Miura area. Personally, I found the houbou (red gurnard), horse mackerel, and greater amberjack to be especially delicious. Each fish was exceptionally fresh.
