Recommended Restaurants for Gyunabe (Beef Hot Pot) in Yokohama

The restaurant's signature dish is "Butsugiri Gyu-nabe," featuring thick cuts of beef simmered in a savory miso-based broth.

This is the restaurant’s signature set meal, the "Katsuretsu Set (Tenderloin Cutlet)." It features their original house sauce, a secret recipe that has remained unchanged since the restaurant’s founding.
Another highlight is that rice and shredded cabbage are available for unlimited refills.
One of the most popular dishes is the Yamayuri Pork Large Loin Cutlet Set Meal, featuring a generous portion of premium pork loin.
This hearty meal is perfect for those craving a satisfying and substantial Yokohama specialty.

For a little indulgence, the Premium Loin cutlet is highly recommended. At Katsuretsu An, the signature feature is the sauce—a demi-glace style that has been loved for generations. After trying it again for the first time in 15 years, I can confirm it is just as delicious as ever. Be sure to enjoy your cutlet with plenty of this special sauce.

Ordered the Rosu Katsu Set Meal (JPY 1,600, tax excluded) and added three Fried Oysters (JPY 350 each, tax excluded). The tonkatsu features both tender lean and fatty pork, full of rich flavor. The coating is light and crispy for an enjoyable bite. Naturally, the fried oysters were also hot and delicious.

The fondant au chocolat truly showcases the expertise of this specialty chocolate shop, with its rich and intense chocolate flavor. Despite its richness, it is not overly sweet and can be enjoyed with a light finish. It pairs perfectly with ice cream and raspberries, making it so delicious that I finished it in no time—it almost felt like a shame to have it disappear so quickly!

Double Hamburg Steak Set with Cheese Topping
Simply outstanding! The aroma of charcoal grilling and the hearty, coarse-ground beef deliver a truly satisfying experience. The rich house-made sauce perfectly complements the dish, and the addition of cheese topping makes it even better. Everything about this meal is excellent! It brings back fond memories of my childhood visits. I'm so happy the taste is just as delicious as ever.

I left extremely satisfied—and incredibly full. It's rare to find a restaurant with such an intense focus on meat, truly a paradise for meat lovers. The attentive service was also impressive, with staff regularly checking on things like water and hand towels. Located right in front of Yokohama Station, the access is excellent. I definitely look forward to visiting again.
