This shop is located next to the approach to Ninomiya Shrine in Odawara Castle Ruins Park. It is a fairly large building as it is also used by other facilities. The entrance to the store is on the second floor, and a narrow staircase runs along the side of the building leading to the second floor entrance. The interior of the store has glass walls with grids on three sides, creating a bright and open space. There aren't many seats considering the size of the restaurant, and the tables are placed close to the windows, so you can enjoy your meal while admiring the view outside. The menu is the same for both day and night, and there are three course meals. This time, I took the course called Sora Naka no Sora. The details are as follows. ◦ Appetizer: Seasonal vegetables and deep-fried seaweed ◦ Nigiri sushi (single kelp, snow crab) ◦ Grilled abalone liver sauce ◦ Sashimi (golden sea bream, bamboo barley fish, red sea bream) ◦ Grilled dishes: Salt-grilled Aburabozu ◦ Roast domestic beef・Smoked soy sauce ◦ Meals: whitebait rice cooked in an earthenware pot, gojiru soup associated with Sontoku, pickled vegetables ◦ Sweetness: Kataura lemon sorbet, espresso The cooking method for all dishes is orthodox, but the flow of the courses is quite arranged. What left an impression on me was the salt-grilled Abrabouzu. Abrabouzu is a fish that is caught in the deep sea at a depth of nearly 1,000 meters and rarely appears on the market, so it is probably rarely used in kaiseki restaurants. The meat is white, has no taste, and has plenty of fat. It was delicious with sudachi and radish soaked in ponsu. The gojiru served at the last meal is said to be a dish associated with Ninomiya Sontoku. The dish is made by grinding steamed soybeans and mixing them into the soup, but it is a healthy and simple dish that has the flavor of soybeans and natural sweetness. Although there were few surprises overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the dishes, which were carefully prepared using seasonal ingredients. By the way, the area where this shop is located is a park with many trees and lush greenery, and wild birds are constantly flying around. The environment was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the relaxing scenery.
