(March 2015) This is my first visit in exactly one year. This time, the lunch also served as a small farewell party at work. For drinks, everyone ordered a non-alcoholic Chardonnay (lol) This was my first time at a restaurant that had this, but it was refreshing and perfect as an aperitif. Just like last time, I made a reservation for the famous Kakuni Gozen. Rice, miso soup, dipping sauce, kinpira, sesame dressing, sashimi, and kakuni are served on a large tray. Then, the three of us who came last year noticed that something was different... Last time we had daikon radish as an accompaniment to the kakuni, but this time it was shojin-age. Generally speaking, daikon is a standard ingredient in kakuni, so this was a surprise (^^ゞ The dashi-maki egg included in the course was served freshly grilled afterwards. It's not every day you get a chance to eat one. And, surprisingly, I asked for an additional order of Croquette (LOL), even though I remember well that I was pretty full last year. This Croquette is often out of stock, so if you miss this opportunity, you never know when it will be available again. (Incidentally, it is also one of the Ryugasaki Croquette.) Freshly fried Croquette served with mustard soy sauce, When you break it open, the cream becomes thick. Apparently this is sesame tofu. It's so smooth that you can't tell unless you ask. It comes with mustard soy sauce, but it was delicious on its own. The dessert was as melty as ever. Warabi Mochi. It didn't feel cold, but rather melty ^_^ At the end, I slowly tasted the roasted bancha, which I rarely get to drink, and soaked in the afterglow. ----------- -------------------------------- (March 2014) Even after reaching retirement age, I continued to work on a contract basis. My senior is officially retiring. We decided to have a farewell dinner for the members with whom we had a particularly close relationship, and my junior arranged it. It was in a residential area, and there was a signboard. I heard that it's easy to miss because it's just a bar, and that's true. However, the parking lot is almost full, so you might notice it.It was warm, so I had to order a cold drink separately.A rare dry drink. They had ginger ale, so I asked for it, but this is the second time I've had it. I've never seen it in a supermarket... The one I reserved for lunch was the Kakuni Gozen. 1700 When you hear yen, you may think it's expensive, but no, why? First, rice, appetizers (simmered firefly squid, kinpira, minced meat, sesame tofu), and sashimi were served on a tray.Next, Miso soup with mushroom mushrooms. After a while, the main braised braised meat appeared, and I couldn't help but cheer (^^ゞ Really delicious braised braised meat, I probably haven't had it in over 10 years... The daikon radish that came with it was also simmering, so I cooked it slowly. You can see that it has been passed through. The sashimi was made in a yamakake style, but the texture was rough and it felt like it was pounded rather than grated. While I was enjoying the appetizer in between, I found a freshly baked dashi-maki egg...! I ate it right away because I was told to eat it right away because the soup stock would be ready. (lol) The taste differs depending on the restaurant, but this one is not very sweet and you can enjoy the flavor of the soup stock. I'm keeping it alive. If it wasn't in the set, I'd like to eat it individually ^_^ I didn't want to leave any of it behind so I ate it all, but I was pretty full. However, the warabi mochi that was served as dessert was something else (lol) It was so melty that I devoured it in no time. It's a popular restaurant, and it's a little difficult for individuals to eat, so it was a valuable lunch.
