姫路を中心に店舗展開されているヤマダストアー。
某巨大スーパーチェーン系列店に占拠されている播磨地方の小売店業界において、某系列以外の小売店は品揃えも画一的ではないのが良い。
ヤマダストアーでは地元の名産品や銘菓などが時々並ぶが、ある日妻が立ち寄った時に見かけたのが「下村の焼きあなご」。
高砂市などにある下村商店は、焼きあなごなどで地元に知られたお店。
以前は山陽百貨店の地下にある地元銘品コーナーで取扱があったが、今は別のお店の焼きあなごを取り扱っておられるようだ。
この界隈に住むまでは全く穴子と縁がなかったが、この焼きあなごを頂くと播磨地方の方が誇る海の幸であるのが少し分かったような気がする。
なかなか本店に立ち寄る機会はないが、またヤマダストアーで見かけたら買い求めるかも知れない。
