[First visit] March 2012 A meat wholesaler that was mentioned in a recent economic report opened a yakitori restaurant in Saijo, following Yakiniku no Kura! I had it in the back of my mind, but I happened to discover it when I went to Saijo for work! When I searched on my smartphone, I found that no one had reviewed it yet, so I decided to take on the challenge of writing a review at night! I went to [b: Sumibi Yakitori Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) Torikko]. Why don't I like going out at night? The answer is simple! Even if I try to write a review because I drink too much, I don't remember it well (lol). I could just eat and go straight home, but I can't help but be interested in the invitation I received from the bar hostess in the email... I go out drinking at two or three bars... I always regret it when I wake up in the morning... I'm sure men around the world understand this feeling. I visited before 6pm and there were about five groups of customers ahead of me, but customers keep coming in one after another! 80% of the raised tatami rooms are reserved seats. Most of the customers are families~♪ A yakitori restaurant with Family restaurant-like atmosphere. Looking at the menu, the yakitori dishes are 90 yen for a skewer of chicken skin and 130 yen for a thigh, and the skewered Fried Skewers are 60 yen for a skewer of lotus root and 90 yen for pork tenderloin. They're really cheap! You can't beat the price of a meat wholesaler! And you order by yourself! You trace the chips on the menu with a pen-like object, and the pen speaks the name of the dish! Then you touch the quantity and touch "order"... and the dish you ordered comes out! This allows them to offer such low prices by reducing the number of hall staff and operating directly from the wholesaler, without taking in any middleman margins. I tried the yakitori dishes of chicken skin, thigh, and meatballs, and Fried Skewers food of lotus root and pork tenderloin, but to be honest, the taste was not particularly good for the price. It was just averagely tasty. The only thing I thought was delicious was the crispy and juicy fried young chicken (with super tasty sauce) for 450 yen! The super delicious sauce was a sweet and sour dressing-like sauce, but it was more delicious to eat it as it was. The anago Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot) came with an hourglass, and you had to turn it over to steam it and wait about 3 minutes! It was a bit of a playful touch, and it also came with soup stock, so you could eat it like hitsumabushi. To be honest, the taste was nothing special. Looking at the menu, there were a lot of family restaurant-like menus, such as "Children's drink bar (up to elementary school students) Free refills for 90 yen", "Recommended for children! Family restaurant-made parfait", and "Recommended for women! Raw chocolate ice cream", and it seemed like a restaurant that was clearly aimed at families. We drank about 8 glasses of beer, shochu, oolong tea, etc. for two people, ate moderately, and it came to just under 5,000 yen. It's true that it's cheap, but... for an old guy who likes to drink, it's more comfortable to sip on a drink while eating delicious yakitori, even if it's expensive (lol). Rather than talking about sales pitches... it seems like the store's selling point is that it's cheap!!
