「お食い初め」生後100日前後 生れた子どもが初めて、大人と同じものをたべるという成長の節目のお祝いで ” 百日(ももか) の祝 ” です。 食べものに困らないように ”百日の一粒食い” といって、ごはん粒をひとつ口にいれたり、尾頭付きの鯛などを食べさせる真似をします。 ” 歯がため ” といって、丈夫な歯が生えるように、お膳にきれいな石をのせます。

60歳の還暦祝いや70歳の古希祝いなど、 節目の年齢を迎える方を祝う「長寿祝い」。 これまで育ててくれた両親や、遠くに住んでいる祖父母に、 「いつもありがとう」の気持ちを込めて、精一杯お祝いをしたいですよね。 長寿の祝いでまず迎えるのが、60歳の「還暦」で 70歳は「古稀（こき）」で、77歳は「喜寿（きじゅ）」。 80歳では「傘寿（さんじゅ）」と続いて、88歳で有名な「米寿（べいじゅ）」になります。 90歳で「卒寿（そつじゅ）」、99歳で「白寿（はくじゅ）」となって、100歳では「百寿（ひゃくじゅ・ももじゅ）」、「紀寿（きじゅ）」となります。

Food ``Unaju'' made from live eel at the restaurant
At Masago, the eel we use is ``Unagiju,'' which is carefully prepared in-house from live eel and grilled to a plump, soft texture.It is served with a slightly sweet and salty sauce, and is served with piping hot rice. We believe that the best and most delicious way to eat it is to eat it wholeheartedly.

Along with eel, `` Tempura / Ten-don (tempura rice bowl)'' has been loved and enjoyed in Japan for a long time. Aiming for the ultimate Ten-don (tempura rice bowl), we luxuriously chose the king of shrimps, ``live prawns,'' as the star of the dish. This crispy live prawn Tempura has a delicious plump texture and elegant sweetness, and you can eat it from head to tail. The subtle scent of sesame oil and the secret eel sauce-based tempura sauce have a good balance, making this Ten-don (tempura rice bowl) that will whet your appetite.
Food “Koshihikari” limited to Aizuwakamatsu
The rice we use is ``Hitomebore,'' which is grown only by a limited number of farmers in Aizuwakamatsu, and the rice has just the right amount of sweetness and stickiness. Feel free to have as many refills as you like! The miso soup is made with red miso from Kyoto. Red dashi, which has a unique flavor and aroma, goes perfectly with eel.
