Mainly Yokohama, sometimes Tokyo, and occasionally other regions of Japan.

I’ve always loved eating out, whether for work, family, or simply for the joy of discovering great food. After visiting countless restaurants over the years, I started writing reviews in 2023 as a way to keep track of the places I’ve been and share my experiences with others.

Since March 2025, I’ve also been posting reviews in English to help both local and international food lovers discover great places to eat in Japan.

⚠ Fun fact: I ate so much sushi that I somehow ended up developing allergies to fish roe and shrimp.

About My Ratings

I’m not a professional critic—just someone who genuinely enjoys good food.

My ratings are based on food quality, service, value for money, overall comfort, and atmosphere. Most of my reviews fall between 3.0 and 4.0.

4.1+ → Among the very best in its category.
2.9 or below → A genuinely disappointing experience that makes me unlikely to return.

I rarely post extremely negative reviews unless there’s a strong reason to do so.

For higher-end restaurants, especially those costing ¥10,000+ per person, great food is generally expected, so scores naturally tend to be higher.

Scoring standards were slightly relaxed starting July 2025.

When I do give lower ratings, it’s usually because of service, hospitality, or atmosphere rather than the food itself.

A little confidence from a chef or restaurant is fine. Looking down on customers isn’t.

I also tend to avoid places that spend more time criticizing competitors than focusing on their own strengths.

Ratings may occasionally be adjusted after revisits or as circumstances change.

元々食べるのが好きで、プライベート・仕事・付き合いなどで外食の機会が多め。せっかくなら訪問した店を整理しようと、2023年から本格的にレビュー開始！

2025年3月からは英語版レビューも始めました。

好きなジャンル

✅ 鮨 → 圧倒的1位！
✅ 鰻 → 大好物！
✅ 焼肉 → かなり好き！
✅ ラーメン → めちゃくちゃ好き！
✅ ジャンクフード → めっちゃ好き！
✅ 子連れOKで大人も満足できる店を絶賛開拓中！

評価について

あくまで素人目線の評価ですが、味・サービス・価格（支払い時の満足度）＋αで3.0〜4.0の範囲を基本に採点。

評価の基準

4.1以上 → そのジャンル最高峰！
2.9以下 → 何かしら悪いインパクトがあり、二度と行かない店のみ。

※ただし、よほどでない限り2.9以下の評価や酷評レビューはアップしません。

一定の価格帯（特に客単価万単位）を超えた店は旨くて当たり前なので、基本的に高評価です。
※2025年7月〜評価基準を少し甘くしました。

低評価はサービスや居心地など、味以外の部分が理由になることが多いです。

多少の職人気質は嫌いではありませんが、お客様を見下すような接客は苦手です。また、同業他店を批判するタイプの店も好きではありません。
