Welcome to the true restaurant guide of Japan.

From my experience of travelling overseas, I have felt a strong necessity to introduce the restaurants in Japan which truely have the value and meaning to visit in the English Language from the point of view of a Japanese citizen as myself.  Of course we know the existence of the famous Michelin Guide, however, as you may already know from your Japanese friends, there were great disputes over the content of the guide as to the reasons of why such restaurants were introduced. In short, I understand that many of the restaurants which have been reviewed or visited were chosen if they had any connection with the restaurants which were introduced in the Michelin Guide of France, Italy or other countries, and very few restaurants were chosen out of scratch or based on the reputation of the Japanese media.  

Although I have some experience in living in the United States when I was very small, I confess that I am not a native English speaker, and thus my English should carry many mistakes, and I may also be using inappropriate terms when describing the services of the restaurant.  

Regardless of the above, I still believe that my experience will be of some help in you finding the true best restaurants in Japan, which may not be introduced in your published restaurant guides.

Please note that I have take into consideration the idea of quality for performance in my ratings. Accordingly, there may be restaurants which the level of taste merely is around ★3.5, however is ranked ★4.5 in total since the quality for performance is unbelivably high.
