『塩竃しらはた』さんを後にしてニ軒めは仙台駅東口のヨドバシカメラさんの一階に出来た『オイシイもの横丁』さんへ。屋台村のような造りの横丁内を一回りしたものの余り興味を惹かれる店はなかったものの鰻と焼鳥の店『つね吉』さんという店に寄せていただきました。L字型のカウンター席に席を取らせていただき黒ビールで渇いた喉を潤します。デフォルトで供されるつきだしには『柴漬(シバヅケ)』と『木耳(キクラゲ)』の刻みです。一見、大したものではないのですが柴漬(シバヅケ)に木耳(キクラゲ)のコリコリ感が佳きアクセントとなり箸が進みます。酒肴は品書きの中から『白焼(シラヤキ)』の串に『蒲焼(カバヤキ)』の串に『鰻肝(ウナキモ)』の串が味わえる『鰻串(ウナクシ)3種盛合せ』をお願いしました。鰻(ウギ)の串焼きは炭火焼でもなく遠赤外線を利用したガス火焼きでもなく電熱線と思しき焼台で温め直ししたものが程無くして供されました。その中では『白焼(シラヤキ)』の串はなかなかのものでしたが蒲焼(カバヤキ)と『鰻肝(ウナキモ)』の串は嗜好とは異なるものでした。焼鳥でも食べてみようかとも思いましたが熱線が電熱焼のようなので勘定をお願いしたところ『鶏スープ』を供してくれました。久しぶりに口にした黒ビールとつきだしの木耳(キクラゲ)入りの柴漬(シバヅケ)と鰻(ウナギ)の白焼(シラヤキ)串は美味しくいただきました。そして仙台での締めはあの店へ。
