Kita Terrace, a commercial facility that opened on October 28, 2014, is a two-minute walk from the west exit of JR Kita-Senju Station. The name Kita Terrace is a combination of "north" (Tokyo) and "customers have come." At night, the exterior walls are lit up with illuminations, and the lighting patterns change depending on the season. Tenants include drugstore Cocokara Fine on the first floor. Japanese-style meal chain Ootoya and boiled fresh spaghetti Popolare Mamma are on the second floor. Yakiniku Toraj and bone-in aged chicken and kettle-cooked izakaya Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) are on the third floor. Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) KICHIRI Garden Table Kita-Senju, which targets female customers, is on the fourth floor. The fifth floor is Kita no Aji Kikou and local sake Hokkaido. The sixth floor is creative Japanese-style meal Yurari and private room Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) Mizumenzuki. The facility is operated by [a:http://www.bikkuriya.com/, Bikkuriya Group]. Kamadoka Kitasenju, located on the third floor, is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that specializes in ice-aged chicken and Kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot). It is run by the Colowide Group, which also owns brands such as Gyukaku, Shabu Shabu shabu shabu, and Izakaya Domadoma. When I visited around 1pm on a weekend, the 86-seat restaurant was spacious. When I said I was alone, I was shown to a four-seat table. There was a large stroller across the street, so it seemed friendly to families with small children. The wide space between the seats is a nice touch. The lunch menu offers a limited selection of items, including beef Sukiyaki set meal for 980 yen, beef loin diced Steak set meal for 120g for 980 yen, fried chicken set meal for 690 yen, pork miso Sukiyaki set meal for 880 yen, Oyako-don (Chicken and egg bowl) (chicken and egg on rice) for 880 yen, and grilled salted mackerel set meal for 780 yen. This left a good impression! *Beef loin diced Steak set meal for 120g for 980 yen Free rice and miso soup refills Served in about 10 minutes. The prices include tax, which is nice!! For those who want to eat more meat, there is also a 180g for 1,480 yen and a 240g for 1,980 yen. When ordering, you can choose between a rich or light sauce, with the lighter option being grated daikon and wasabi soy sauce. The hot plate is topped with regular beef loin, not bound meat. It is cooked rare, and if it is not enough, they add pellets to heat it up. It's a yakiniku-like dish with 150g of Yakiniku (Grilled meat) and skirt steak for about 1,200 yen, so it's a good deal. It's a high-value lunch that you wouldn't expect from a chain Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). When I saw the title, I thought it was a reference to Puella Magi Madoka Magica? Sorry, it was Sayaka-chan.
