葛西駅から徒歩5分強ほど。環七沿いに北方面へまっすぐ。ネパール系のインド料理店なのかな。店内は薄暗く、落ち着いた雰囲気。壁に貼ってあったチョモランマと思わしき写真がなんとなく印象に残っています。4人掛けテーブル席が6つ。広々としています。
ニューデリーセット1290円。カレー2種、ナン、ライス、タンドリーチキン、シークカバブ、サラダがセット内容でした。まずナンのインパクトが絶大！およそ全長50センチもあろうかというデカさ。ナンは噛んでいくとほのかに甘くなっていき、食感はちょいモチ。焼き目がしっかりしているところはパリっとしています。カレーはバターチキンとキーマをチョイス。辛さは普通、中辛、辛口、激辛の4段階で選べます。今回は両方とも辛口。どちらもシンプルな味に思いました。バターチキンはハチミツの甘さの方がやや勝る印象。キーマカレーはマトンと豚の挽肉とメニューに書いてあったと思います。挽き方は粗めで、肉もやや存在感がありました。中にはカットしたゆで卵が入っていたように思います。ライスと一緒に食べた方が、カレーの味がしっかりわかると気がしました。
タンドリーチキンとシークカバブは熱々の鉄板に載って提供されます。つくね風のシークカバブはスパイシー。味は濃くないですが、結構良かったですね！敷かれている野菜は酸味が効いていました。写真には撮っていないのですが、スープも提供されました。サービスだったのかな。とろみのある白濁したコンソメ系の味。乳製品の感じがあまりないシチューみたいで、優しい味わいに思いました。端切れの野菜？が煮込まれ、軽い食感があって美味しかったですね♩
