先週、横浜の一鶴で親鳥雛鳥に喰らいついたのに続き、
今週は新橋のシャモロック酒場で青森の村越シャモロック・パーク直送の
青森地鶏のモモ焼きに巡りあうという光栄に浴してしまいました。
この日は立ち飲み竜馬の夫婦店ORYOで軽くハイボールを
いただいた後新橋の雑踏を歩いていて、偶然見つけました。
以前テレビのグルメ番組で紹介されていたのですぐにわかりました。
こちらの名物料理はなんといっても、最初に紹介したシャモロックのモモ焼き。
でも一日限定4個ですから果たして残っているかどうかが問題です。
店員さんに確認したところ、OKとのことなのでそれをお願いしました。
値段は１グラム11円という設定。いきなりステーキもそうですが、
最近こういう価格設定のところが増えましたね。
と言っても骨も加えて300グラム以上でしたから、結構なお値段になります。
ちょっと躊躇しましたが、好奇心には勝てない性分です。
七輪がやってきて、網で骨つきのまま、目の前で焼いてくれます。
バラ色をした見るからにおいしそうな肉質です。なんでも、このお肉は生でも食べられるのだとか。
皮から滴る脂が炭火にいぶされて、おいしそうな香りを乗せた煙がたなびき始めます。
皮がきつね色になってきて、ゆっくりゆっくりと火を通していきます。
そして焼きあがったら、手早く切り分けてくれます。
それを豪快に頂きます。パリッとした皮の食感と跳ね返る肉の弾力。
野趣あふれる味わいに唸り声をあげてしまいそうです。
まるでバターのような脂の旨みとコク、噛むほどにあふれ出す旨みはこれまで経験したことがないほど。
ビールが美味しいこと、美味しいこと。泡盛が美味しいこと、美味しいこと。
そうそう、お通しのことを忘れていました。
シャモロックのミンチを揚げたチキンボール。これがまた絶品でした。
噛むと肉汁がほとばしって飛び散りました。危うくズボンを汚してしまいそうでした。
これを青森のリンゴソースで、いただくと笑顔が最高潮になります。
もしシャモロックのモモ焼きを頼んでいなければ、これをお代わりしたことでしょう。
シャモロック、完全にやられてしまいました。今度は鍋をいただきたいなあ。
