ワタシ的には雰囲気があんまりしっくり来なかったけれど、川越でハンバーガーといえばこちらのお店だそうで、富士見市に短期在住していた今年の冬、川越散策中に訪問。お店を目指す途中に群馬県には存在しないバーガーキングを発見し、ワッパーを食べたい誘惑に駆られるもここは辛抱、こちらのお店に突入。無条件にアメリカ合衆国大好き日本人がイメージする、グレートなテキサン風イリノイ州って雰囲気の、イタくなる一歩手前でギリギリ踏みとどまっている（悪趣味手前で偶然運好く留まったかも、でもやっぱりダサいよこれは）感じ。もっともアメリカって西と東のそれぞれ端っこの一部以外は殆どど田舎だからしかたない・・・更にはデートでカノジョにアメリカンなウンチクを語る青年も居て少々片腹痛い・・・
で、チーズバーガーのパテ増しを注文。ついでにジンジャーエールも頼むが、ドリンクは速攻で届き、ハンバーガーの遥か以前に飲み干してしまう・・・後の予定の都合もあり、アルコールは控えておりました。
で届いたハンバーガーが￥1000するだけあって流石にたっぷり目ではある。味はまあまあ。でも絶賛するほどのもんでもねえんじゃねえかな・・・っていう感想なんですが、ワタクシ、ハンバーガーショップは行き慣れてないんで、修行がたりないのかも知れません。
店の人・信奉者の人、悪い表現でゴメンね・・・正直な感想なんだよね・・・
