せっかく臼杵に来たからにはフグを食べねばと思い電話をしてみると運良く席が空いているとのことで平日の夜訪問しました。
臼杵駅から徒歩で約5分、高級旅館のような佇まいが印象的です。
全室個室で落ち着いてフグと向き合える環境が揃っています。
コースは3種類で、人気の真ん中のコースにしました。
料理は頃合いを見て着物の女将様が運んでくださいます。
残念ながら写真と食べることに集中して料理の名前はからっきしです。笑
お通しは小さめな山ですが4種類の料理が載っています。
見た目から外れることはなくどれも上品な味。
箸の先端がとても細く、細かい料理も掴みやすいのが嬉しい。
お酒はせっかくなので気になっていたフグ酒をいただきました。
日本酒ベースにフグヒレが入っています。運ばれてきた後に、蓋をした中のアルコール蒸気に火をつけて貰い完成です。
熱々で、フグの香りが凄いです。
続いててっさ。
フグと聞いたらまずこれを思い浮かべるのではないかというものですね。
薄くカットされた刺身が美しく並べられています。弾力があってポン酢も美味しい。
薬味のネギのカットも細かくて驚きます。紅葉おろしは辛過ぎず好みです。
唐揚げはジューシーで素晴らしい。
フグの肉がしっかりしてますね。
特産のカボスをかけるとまた違って良い。
鍋は調理前の具材が運ばれてきて目の前で調理していただけます。皿への取り分けもやっていただき、私は食べることに集中できます。安居酒屋に慣れた私は自分で作ろうとするのをかろうじて抑えました。危ない危ない。。笑
締めは雑炊。
やや薄味ですが箸もといレンゲが進む。
好みに応じてポン酢をかけていただけるとのことで、やってみると確かに良い。ポン酢の素晴らしさを再認識。
締めは自家製焼き芋羊羹。
芋じゃ無くて焼き芋をベースにした羊羹は初めて出会いました。
も、もう少し食べたい…でもきっと適量というものがあるんでしょう。くっ。。
2万じゃ足りないと思って来店しましたが、これだけたらふく飲食して遠く及ばず思ってたよりリーズナブルな価格でした。（お酒を大量に飲むと価格が跳ね上がると思いますが…）
東京だと倍以上するようですし、お得な気持ちになりますね。
味、雰囲気、サービス、総合的に大満足です。
