休日の朝に伺いました。場所は、ホテルニューオータニ長岡の1階。ロビーの奥にあります。昨日からこちらに宿泊していたので朝食に利用しました。6時30分オープンはありがたい。一般の利用も可能です。
朝食ビュッフェ2,420円。席はビュッフェ台に近いソファー席を指定されます。ビュッフェですから、席を確認してすぐにビュッフェ台へ。和食の惣菜などを取り席に着きます。
まず、生卵をご飯の上に。TKG用の醤油が用意されているので、取りに行き卵に掛け元に戻します。もう少し小さな皿（刺し猪口のような）があれば、この手間は不要になるのだが。いただきます。濃厚な味の卵です。何よりご飯がたいへん美味しい。艶々していますよ。お櫃のような物で保温されているので、状態も良いのでしょう。長岡産コシヒカリです。次に味噌汁。具だくさんです。きゃべつ、なめこ、油揚。出汁はそれほど効いていませんが、自然体で美味しい。他に印象的なのは、エリンギの炒め煮。ステーキのようです。きのこも名産品ですから。それから栃尾の油揚ですかね。
食後は、コーヒーとヨーグルト。わぁ、ここに生野菜があった。残念ながらお腹いっぱいで食べられません。コーヒーはサーバーからですが、酸味の効いた美味しいコーヒーです。
教訓として、初めてのビュッフェでは、ひと通り見回してから取り始めたほうが良いと言うこと。接客は質・量とも十分とまでは言えません。もう少し、目配りと寄り添う姿勢が見られると嬉しい。
