栂池自然園歩いたあと、13時とちょっと遅いのですが昼食。
甘いものも食べたいので栂池ヒュッテのお隣の栂池山荘へ。こちらの山荘は小谷村で運営されているらしいです。
ここの名物のさるなしソフトクリームを購入。
「さるなし」とはキウイフルーツの近縁で、実は小さく表面に毛はないのですが断面はキウイフルーツそのものです。
ロープウェイの自然駅やゴンドラの栂池高原駅のお土産売り場にドライフルーツとなったさるなしが販売されていたりします（常に売っているかは不明）。
このソフトクリーム、食べた感じはあまりキウイっぽさはないですね。
ただソフトクリームと言ってもシャーベットに近い感じで暑いときが一番美味しく感じるのではないかと思います。
