善光寺の向かいにある和風プリン専門店です。Google先生で「善光寺」と入れると、本物の善光寺よりも先に出てくるのには驚きました。屋外に茶室を併設していて、プリンを購入した人はそこで食べることができることでも人気があるようです。せっかく善光寺まで行ったら、目の前のあるこちらに立ち寄らない選択肢はないでしょう(^ ^) ラッキーにも2台分の店の駐車場に停めることができました。
店内ではプリンとソフトクリームを売っています。プリンはベーシックなものからちょっと変わったものまで10種類ほどあります。私は変わった みたらし醤油 450円 を購入、外にある茶室に移動しいただきました。プリンそのものは至ってベーシック、流行りの柔らかいプリンではなくしっかりと卵の風味を活かして蒸しあげられたものと思います。そしてカラメルソースの代わりにみたらし醤油⁈ あの団子に使われる醤油の甘辛ソースです。うーん、アリといえばありだと思いますが、これは私には難易度は高かったかな⁈ 初心者はオーソドックスなものからいくのが良いかもしれません。ソフトクリームはプリンソフトクリームという名前で、カスタードクリームをアイスにしたようなものでした。これは面白いですね。
お店は途切れずにお客さんが入ってきます。地元の方と思しき皆さんはお遣いものにされる方が多く、我々のような一見さんは茶室でいただくのが多いようです。なかなか珍しいものに出会いました。
