それにしても最近の鰻の高騰ぶりには閉口しますよね…私のような庶民の口にはなかなか入らないようになってしまいました。
南九州には心強い味方が複数存在します！それでも高いんですが…
こちらは小林の山奥にありますが、私のような都市部からの客が多く、鹿や猪などのジビエも楽しめるそうです。
さて、なかなか来られる場所ではありませんので、鰻定食の特上と地鶏刺身をお願いしました。
まずは地鶏刺身が提供されます。
う～ん…これは残念です！凍ってます！良く解釈すれば地鶏のルイベです(笑)
まあ人里離れた場所で鰻がメインの店ですから仕方ないですね。
主役の特上鰻が登場しました！
圧巻のビジュアルです！兜付きで肉厚の鰻が丸々一尾です。
水が良いですから変な臭みもありません。兜からかぶりつきます！首周りが美味い！
蒸しの行程はないのに柔らかい。これは素晴らしいですね。ちょっとタレが甘過ぎるのが残念ですが、甘口醤油が九州スタンダードですから仕方ありません。
これで2500円とは…東京じゃ考えられないでしょ！
久しぶりに遠慮なく腹一杯に鰻を食べられた満足感に浸ることが出来て幸せです。
