The sushi here is made with large, fresh cuts of seafood, offering a true taste of Hokkaido with every bite.
The "Honmaguro Chutoro" (medium fatty bluefin tuna) is especially recommended, featuring a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a perfect balance of rich flavor and natural sweetness.

The "Standing-Only 5-Piece Set" is a popular menu item available exclusively at the standing counter.
Enjoy a selection of recommended nigiri sushi—such as winter yellowtail, salmon roe, flounder, double-layered scallop, and shirako gunkan—at an affordable price.

I heard that Hokkaido is famous for its delicious conveyor belt sushi, so I asked a local for recommendations. Even though it was a weekday, it was during the Obon holiday period, so when I arrived at opening time, I had to wait about an hour. The sushi was truly exceptional and completely changed my perception of conveyor belt sushi. The seared engawa, in particular, melted in my mouth the moment I tasted it.

I was glad to finally try their popular items, such as medium fatty bluefin tuna and fresh scallops. Some reviews mentioned that the ordering process is analog and wait times can be long during busy hours, but since I received a ticket before opening, I was able to enter smoothly and place my order without any issues. I was extremely satisfied with my experience.

The sashimi truly lives up to Hokkaido’s reputation—each piece was sweet and exceptionally fresh. The shrimp, in particular, was outstanding. I also had Hakkaku, a local fish not often found on Honshu, which offered a unique and aromatic flavor. The salted sea urchin was absolutely exquisite—perfect with Japanese sake. I thoroughly enjoyed sampling local Hokkaido sake as well. I would love to visit again.

The robatayaki-grilled mackerel was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly firm, making it hard to stop eating. (I forgot to take a photo!) Even as a Hokkaido local, I couldn’t resist ordering the buttered potatoes. They were exceptional, with a natural sweetness that paired perfectly with the butter. Needless to say, the sashimi and sushi were also excellent.

Even after 2:00 PM, there were still customers, and while the restaurant never became completely full, there was a steady flow of people coming and going. During my visit, all the customers appeared to be locals, which was impressive. I ordered the Chicken & Vegetable Curry with boiled egg and shimeji mushroom toppings, and, as a beginner with spicy food, chose the standard level of heat to be safe. The soup was light and smooth, yet packed with rich flavor.

The curry features a bold blend of spices, and even at the mildest level (level 1), it packed quite a punch. I was especially delighted to find four pieces of deep-fried broccoli—one of my favorites! Every ingredient was delicious and complemented the curry perfectly.

The Genghis Khan here is perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of marbling. There’s no gaminess, and the meat is so tender it’s easy to bite through. It’s the best Genghis Khan I’ve ever had. Since there’s only one grill per table, the lamb shabu-shabu was served afterwards, which was light and refreshing—an ideal way to finish the meal.

The sashimi, including tuna, scallops, and horse mackerel, was exceptionally fresh. The tuna was so good that I ordered extra. Of course, no visit to Hokkaido is complete without trying Zangi (Hokkaido-style fried chicken), which was delicious with a hint of garlic. I was also delighted to find Ruibe, a traditional Hokkaido dish rarely seen outside the region. This time, I chose salmon Ruibe. The grilled Atka mackerel was impressively large, rich, and flavorful.
