I stopped by this restaurant at Tokyo Station for lunch before a business trip, as I had been wanting to try it for some time. You can choose the size of the sushi rice and whether or not to add wasabi, and there is a wide selection of sushi, all made with red vinegar rice. The staff were very friendly, and I think this is a great spot for travelers with lots of luggage who want a quick and satisfying meal.

We visited during lunch and were able to get a seat without waiting. After ordering a beer and the three-piece sushi sampler, we took our time choosing our sushi. We decided on three pieces of honmaguro (bluefin tuna). Each bite was so delicious, it felt like a shame to finish. The other selections were excellent as well, especially the kohada (gizzard shad), which was particularly memorable. I look forward to returning.

The sushi rice is moderately sized, making each piece easy to eat. All of the fish is fresh with no unpleasant odor, and every topping was delicious. It was my first time trying kohada maki, and I really enjoyed it. The negitoro had a pleasant sweetness and was so good I ended up ordering more. While the prices are not inexpensive, the overall experience is highly satisfying—I would definitely like to visit again.

Assorted Fresh Shellfish with Vinegar – I simply had to try this! This enticing platter features seven varieties: my favorite ark shell, ark shell mantle, scallop, baby scallop, mirugai clam, live whelk, and raw surf clam. Each one is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. It's the perfect pairing with drinks. The mild, well-balanced vinegar highlights the natural aroma of the shellfish without being too sour. A variety of course menus are available, ranging from casual to more luxurious options at different price points.
One of the most popular offerings, as mentioned in customer reviews, is the uni tasting. Guests can savor the rich flavors of premium sea urchin, including Murasaki Uni from Aomori and Bafun Uni from Hokkaido.

Among the nigiri, four selections stood out: the chutoro (medium fatty tuna), a tasting of three types of uni (sea urchin), kuruma ebi (Japanese tiger prawn), and kue (longtooth grouper). The chutoro was perfectly marbled and melted in the mouth, while each variety of uni offered unique flavors and sweetness, making the tasting set especially enjoyable. The kuruma ebi had an exceptional, plump texture, releasing a delicate sweetness with every bite.

The entrance can be a bit hard to find at first, giving the restaurant a hidden, exclusive feel. Inside, the space is bright, clean, and has a sense of occasion. I was seated at the counter and enjoyed a set course meal. Every dish was delicious, but the uni tasting in particular offered unique flavors I had never experienced elsewhere.

Everything I tried was delicious, but the uni was a standout for me. The kuromutsu was lightly seared for extra flavor. I love shellfish like hokki-gai, miru-gai, and aka-gai—their texture and sweetness were exceptional. The kinmedai wrapped in kombu kelp was so good, I savored every bite.

Experience "Shin Edomae Sushi," a unique style that blends the techniques of Hakata-style and traditional Edomae sushi with the restaurant's own approach to aged sushi.
Nigiri can be ordered by the piece, and there are also value-priced omakase sets and course menus available.

In addition to sushi, the lunch menu offers several value-priced seafood rice bowls.
Pictured here is the limited "Deluxe Seafood Rice Bowl," available only 15 servings per day. Generously topped with uni (sea urchin), ikura (salmon roe), and maguro (tuna), the bowl is also filled with chunks of assorted seafood hidden beneath the surface.

We were able to get a table without waiting, which was great. The casual atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy our meal. The food was delicious—especially the tuna, sea urchin, and clams, which were my favorites. The yuba (tofu skin) served as an appetizer was also quite impressive—perhaps the best I've ever had.

Great value for the price! The menu includes ikura (salmon roe), anago (conger eel), and scallops. The yuba topped with mentaiko (spicy cod roe) was especially delicious. The chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) is also outstanding—a simple combination of shimeji mushrooms and ginkgo nuts, complemented by a light and delicate sauce. The soup features a slightly sweet dashi broth with flavorful nori seaweed.

If you're looking for a sushi lunch in Marunouchi, this is the place to go! I went for the 14-piece set this time and it was absolutely the right choice. The sushi features seasonal fish and vegetables, served in elegant, bite-sized portions, yet the generous variety makes for a truly satisfying meal. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand, with outstanding freshness and quality. With both chawanmushi (savory egg custard) and akadashi (red miso soup) included at this prime location, it's an exceptional value.
