Ooi

The interior features a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

For dinner, Ooi offers a sukiyaki course. The standard course features Omi beef, with an option to upgrade to Kobe beef for an additional charge. The restaurant staff will prepare the sukiyaki at your table.

Kobe beef is known for its tenderness and rich, sweet marbling.

The lunch menu features "Beef Cutlet" served with rice and red miso soup. Ordinary wagyu beef is used as the standard, and a limited offering of just 10 servings of "Kobe Beef" cutlet is also available each day.

Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the cutlet is said to be exceptionally flavorful.

We started with Kobe beef. The lean meat was exceptionally vibrant, and the marbled fat had a pleasant sweetness. Next, we enjoyed Omi beef, which was also rich in flavor. The beef was served in three courses, with the final portion accompanied by rice. To finish, we poured the remaining egg from the sukiyaki over the rice for a light and satisfying end to the meal. Everything was truly delicious.

"Sukiyaki"—prepared with a delicate touch, featuring the refined aroma of soy sauce and sugar that enhances the natural flavor of the beef. This sukiyaki stands apart from other restaurants', such as the well-known Aka Noren. The shiitake mushrooms are especially large and impressive. On this visit, I enjoyed their signature sukiyaki.

Visited for the first time on "Good Meat Day." On this occasion, I had an extended lunch break, so I didn't mind waiting a bit for a table. There were a few people waiting, but the wait wasn't too long, making it a practical choice for everyday use. The quality of the meat was excellent for a casual lunch. I ordered the large sukiyaki set meal.

The beef is incredibly tender and absolutely outstanding! The seasoned soft-boiled egg is full of flavor and delicious. The pickled Japanese radish is also a delightful touch. Even the miso soup, which I usually leave unfinished, was light in taste and so good that I finished every drop!

The salad was generous in portion and very tasty. As expected from a yakiniku restaurant, the beef rice bowl featured a substantial serving of meat, rather than just being mostly rice. The dessert, yuzu sorbet, was also delicious.

We ordered the Mixed Hot Pot for two, though you can also order it for just one person. The hot pot features a mix of venison, duck, chicken, and more. The broth was especially flavorful. Unlike traditional sukiyaki with a rich warishita sauce, this version is lighter and more refreshing, making it easy to enjoy.

A restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Sanda beef every time you visit! I especially love their sukiyaki served with grated yam instead of the usual raw egg. During matsutake mushroom season, their sukiyaki with matsutake is exceptionally good.
