July 26th (Wednesday) Sunny Extremely hot I stopped by after watching the final of the Kanagawa High School Baseball Tournament. Of course, it's easy to go crazy after 5 hours in the hot sun. I finished the 1 liter of beer I brought with me before the game started, and because of the heated battle, the game ended after 1pm. The restaurants in the Kannai office district will probably be crowded, so I'll go to Chinatown. It seems like they only accept cold things. I've heard that July is the off-season in Chinatown, and there are certainly not many people passing by. I found a POP for "Tantan Cold Noodles" at a restaurant called Ryumon. I'll go there. I entered the restaurant at 1:20pm. There was only one group of two customers before me, but after I entered, more and more customers came in...I think there were about 20 of them. Most of them seemed to be young people who had been to see high school baseball. I watched the inside of the restaurant until it was ready. I think there were eight tables for four people on the first floor? The customers were being ushered to the second floor one after another. The dining staff was one man and one woman, and the inside of the kitchen was unknown. There was a great value set menu that came with noodles, fried rice, Xiaolongbao (two in the photo), pickled mustard greens, and almond tofu for 1,078 yen. If I had ordered this, I might have gotten more points for the CP. Also, I found out by looking at the business card that this is the new building, and the main building is on Ichiba-dori. At 1:30 p.m., the tantan Cold Noodles arrived. It was quite filling because I ordered it as a single item. Looking at the toppings, it was sliced tomatoes and chopped lettuce. It looked very refreshing. There was also minced meat and dried cherry shrimp. If I had to complain, I wish the sesame-based tantan soup was a little colder... Also, I wish the noodles had been rinsed in more cold water. Well, the noodles were filling and I was full, so I'll call it a success. *As expected, the Kanagawa final was crowded even on a weekday. The wing seats were mostly empty, but the infield was packed. The heat caused the players' legs to cramp, and the umpire was exhausted, resulting in a heated match that lasted over three hours, which is unusual for high school baseball. Keio University decided the game with a three-run homer in the ninth inning, but the calls before the three-run homer were questionable. Because it was high school baseball, there was no footage shown on the Aurora Vision, and no replay review, so it was a bit frustrating.
