8 minutes walk from Takeshita Exit of JR Harajuku Station. Walk on the sidewalk with your left hand side after the exit. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, passing Belle Epoque Beauty College on your left, go right then left at the intersection at the end of the road like a crank, and continue straight heading north. Continue straight down the path for about 170m, and you will find our store on the first basement floor on your left. (It is the building with ivy at the entrance.) 3 minutes walk from Exit 3 of Kitasando Station on the Fukutoshin Line. Continue on the right hand side above ground, turn right at the first intersection where Subway is at the corner, and continue straight until you reach the end of the road. Turn left at the end of the road, and continue for about 120m, and you will find our store on the first basement floor on the right hand side. ChefShinsuke Ishii - A sincere and honest chef who loves food
Born in Tokyo in 1976. After graduating from culinary school, he worked at Hôtel de Mikuni and La Blanche before moving to France. He experienced two-star and three-star Restaurants in France and returned to Japan in 2004. He then worked as sous chef at Fish Bank Tokyo for two years, and from 2008 he worked as chef at Restaurants Bacar for seven years. In April 2016, he opened his own Restaurants, Sincere. He specializes in classical cuisine.

The open kitchen, which can be seen from all seats, and the warm desire of the chefs and staff to "interact with customers and entertain them" have narrowed the distance between the kitchen and the guests. The chefs themselves come to the tables, talk directly with the guests about the ingredients and cooking, and then serve the food. Knowing where the ingredients come from and how they are cooked makes you feel closer to food and the lives related to it, and teaches you that they are irreplaceable.

The "Menu SP (Cynthia-ish)" course, which inherits the cuisine from the Bakar era while being sprinkled with Chef Ishii's innovative ideas, is made up of dishes that are carefully constructed using seasonal ingredients and a sense of the season, such as baked fish wrapped in a pie, bagna cauda with crab miso sauce, and meat dishes cooked in a Staub oven. Guests continue to be fascinated by the playful world view that Chef Ishii unfolds on the plate, like a work of art, and the surprising presentation that is completed right in front of their eyes.

Chef Ishii Shinsuke, who was once the owner of the popular Shoto restaurant Bakar, is the chef-owner of Cynthia. Located in a semi-basement, the restaurant has an open feel, but what catches your eye
