そば前は、ビールから始めて菊正宗の樽酒へ
酒肴はそば屋らしく“やきとり”と“天ぷら”
どちらの肴も絶品で塩を添えられた酒が進む
“せいろう”で〆れば、これもまた素晴らしい
昔ながらな佇まいにも癒される手打ちそば処
白金台でそば屋酒
遠方からの友人がそばが良いというので
自分も行ってみたかったこちらを初訪問
古民家をリノベーションした外観と店内は、
土曜の16時半でも満席に近い状態
とりあえず<ビール(中瓶)・800円>
いくつかの銘柄から“キリンラガー”を選んだ
パリパリとした“海老頭の唐揚げ”がつき出し
海老の香ばしさがビールの良いアテになる
酒は、“ドンペリ”なんかもあったりするが、
ビールの後は、酒にしようと江戸そばらしく
<枡酒(菊正宗)・900円>を通す
枡酒には、塩が添えられるのもうれしい
升の角に塩を置いて舐めながら愉しむ
なかなか、魅力的な酒肴の数々から
そば屋らしい一品<焼きとり・1,750円>と
旬素材の<タラの芽の天ぷら・値段不明>を
花番さんに通す
ネギ、シシトウと共に焼かれたとりは、
甘辛なコクのあるタレが効いて旨みたっぷり
サクッと揚げたての天ぷらも“タラの芽”の
旬なほどよい苦みと風味が心地よい
そば前は、この辺りにしておいて
<せいろう・950円>で〆ることに
せいろうを持って鼻を寄せれば、
蕎麦の豊かな香りが鼻腔をくすぐる
つややかな蕎麦を口に含めば、プリっと
しっかりとしたコシがあって喉越し良い
軽く咀嚼すれば、自然な穀物の旨みが滲む
出汁が効いた汁を蕎麦の端に絡ませ啜り、
軽快に食べ進めてあっという間に完食
こちらのそば湯は、サラッとしたタイプで
辛汁とのマッチングも良好
最近、ドロっとしたそば湯を出す店が
よくあるが、個人的には、サラッと派かな
店の辛汁によく合うことが大事だけれど
〆てひとり当たり5,000円くらいか
店を出たら夕暮れ時で、昔ながらな外観が
よりノスタルジックに自分達を見送ってた
