奇をてらったものはなく、当たり前に
和の...いや、昭和の献立。主菜を張るは
ほっけ、さば塩、鯖の味噌煮、煮込みや
冬はカキフライなどなど。副菜は里芋煮、
きんぴらごぼう、ポテトサラダにetc...。
あとは生卵をつけるか否か。
焼き魚には大根おろしが添えられるのも
定番だよね。揚げ物は揚げ加減に関して
いまひとつ。たいてい焦げが出て、
やや苦みがあったりもするが、内容は
悪くない。
アジラフライなど、京橋の松輪などと
比べてはいけないが、ちょっと薄目でも
身はやわらかく臭みもない。衣は固めで
ザクザク。カキフライもこれは同様だが
身が縮んで小さくなってしまうことなく
良い感じだ。それなりの大振りなカキが
5粒と十分だろう。価格は張るが、
もっと質の高いカキフライを望むなら、
靖国通りの向こう側にあるあの有名店や
神田よりにある洋食屋さんを選ぶべき。
各料理の味にしてもハイカラさはなく、
昭和の時代から連綿と受け継がれている
日本の味。新しさはないが古臭くもない
定番の味。お味噌汁はちょっと薄めかも
知れないが、ご飯は美味しい。お新香は、
そのままで充分塩味はあるが、ちょいと
お醤油垂らす、もしくは七味を振りたく
なる雰囲気だ。
正しく居酒屋のお昼...と言うか、食堂飯と
言うか。昔の食堂によくあった、セルフで
惣菜を選んだ後で、ご飯とお味噌汁を
装ってもらってお会計な仕組み。
ただ、まぁこういう仕組みであるが故に、
惣菜は基本的に焼き置き、揚げ置き、作り
置きで、開店すぐに行くか、作り置きが
切れて補充してもらった時にしか、温かい
惣菜はない。作りたてや温かいものを
いただきたい場合は向かない。とは言え、
この界隈で、和定食が700円台〜1,000円
以内でいただけるのは貴重だろう。
雰囲気も昔ながらの和の居酒屋。昭和色。
年季の入った木製の調度がいい味だ。
引き戸を開けて店に入ったら、ずずっと
奥に進み、まずは湯のみとお盆を取ろう。
そして、テーブルの上に置かれた主菜を
吟味。本日の献立が書かれているので、
テーブルの上になければ聞いてみよう。
余力があれば作っていただけるので、
その場合は出来立てがいただける。
次に副菜を選ぶ。副菜は小鉢。一品分は
お代に込み。さらに一品増やすと200円
増しだ。主菜によってお代は違います。
主菜と副菜を選んだら、振り返り厨房の
窓口にあるお味噌汁とお新香を取る。
生卵が必要ならここで足す。一個50円。
最後に丼飯と交換にお会計。因みに、
ご飯が丼飯なので、生卵一個だとちと
足りないのだが、半分をTKGで、半分を
そのまま楽しむなら充分。
お席はテーブルと座敷。当然、基本相席。
空いている席に着いていただこう。
お茶は卓上のポットから自分で注ぐべし。
食べ終えたら、食器はそのままで大丈夫。
ごちそうさまと告げながらお店を出る。
