昨年オープンした都内の中華料理店の中では「ミモザ」と並んで話題になったお店ではないでしょうか。なので以前から訪問したかったのですが、電話を掛けても希望の日時に空席がないことばかりで、今回やっと訪問することができました。
この時期は「酔っ払い蟹付きお任せコース」税サ抜き15,000円です。このコースに蒸し上海蟹(メス)、麻婆豆腐、担々麺をプラスし、ドリンクはアルコールペアリングにしたところ、総額は約4万円になってしまいました。内訳は不明ですが、アルコールのペアリングは12,000円程度と思われます。
休日だったので早めの時間にお願いすることとし、18時スタートです。18時組はもう一人のみだったこともあり、厨房は想像よりは慌しくはなく、テンポよくどんどんお皿が出てきて、約30皿でしたが1時間40分でお店を出る、という驚異的なペースでした。

約30皿と非常に多くの料理ですが、コースの流れとしてはそれなりのまとまりがあったようです。まずは爽やかなお皿が続き、魚介類群、肉類群とまとまってやってきました。スープで一休みし、また魚介類群、肉類群と続き、フカヒレの煮込みがメインと言っていいのではないでしょうか。そして、追加料理ではありますが麻婆豆腐と担々麺で中華な気分をもう一押し盛り上げ、デザートでクールダウン、こうした流れの中に上海蟹は上手くはまっていたように思います。
これだけ皿数があると、中華好きならきっと気に入るお皿は見つかることでしょう。わたくしの場合、さすがに全てが気に入ったとまではいきませんが、フカヒレの煮込みと四川系の料理が特に気に入りました。フカヒレの煮込みは多くのお店がなかなかのレベルにあると思いますが、こちらのソースは濃厚さがちょうどよく、かなりの美味しさでした。四川系の料理は麻(しびれ)と辣(辛味)がくっきりと感じられたのがよかったです。
シェフが出身の「MASA’S KITCHEN」同様オープンキッチンですが、あちらは火を使っている場所は奥にあるのに対し、こちらは客席のすぐそば、シェフの動作をじっくり拝見することができることでしょう。今回のわたくしの席は残念ながら一番遠かったためそうはなりませんでしたが、丁寧に調理されていることはわかりました。
アルコールペアリングは、ペアリングの妙はあまり感じなかったものの、個々はとても美味しく、ぐびぐび飲んでしまいました。
全席カウンターで、シックな雰囲気、六本木のレストラン、という感じですね。
