「新橋の寿司屋のオープニングレセプションの招待状来たから、どう?」
と、相棒(というか先輩)からのお誘い。もちろん二つ返事でオッケー。
当日は中国出張から帰りで、成田から直行し2時間遅れで駆け付けた。
場所は、新橋駅烏森口から西新橋方面に向かって徒歩5分弱。
大きな荷物を引いていたので分かりにくい場所だったら困るなぁと思っていたのだが、
遠くからでも白地に大きく「すし」と書かれた看板が見えたので、
雑多な新橋の街中でも割と分かりやすくて良かった。
お店は地下にあり、こじんまり。
少々入りづらいところがあるかもしれないが、入口は明るいし、
単品価格やお決まり価格をきちっと書いてあるのでそのまま信用して入ってもいい店です。
ちなみに、単品だと一貫105円~525円(殆どのネタは210円~315円)。
お決まりの寿司だと1050円~2310円。こんな感じで、かなり手頃。
店内は非常に明るく小綺麗。
カウンターの広さやご主人との距離感も程よくて居心地が良い。
なんとなく小料理屋にきているような感覚。
ネタケースの中の食材がよく見えるのもポイント高い。
特に、このお店ご自慢のマグロのサクは、この価格クラスの寿司屋にしては確かに見事で、
是非頂いてみたくなります。
ご用意していただいていた通常4000円のコースと、これに追加で握りを何点かと、
冷やしトマトを頂いた。また、ビールと日本酒とワインを少々。
コースの内容は、こんな感じ:
(1)先付け、(2)お造り、(3)かじき葱間焼き、(4)天麩羅盛り合わせ、(5)握り6貫、
(6)茶碗蒸し、(7)椀(青海海苔の味噌汁)、(8)デザート(杏仁豆腐)の、8品。
一杯やりながら一品料理をちょこちょこ頂いて、寿司をちょっと摘んで、
最後に〆の品まで頂けるこの内容はかなりお得なのではないかと思う。
この日のヒットは、ウニとマグロ。この2つのネタは突出している。
握りは、舎利が小さめでふわっと握られるタイプ。酢のバランスはいいと思う。
ただ、ちょっと粘り気が強いのが気になるのだけれどもね。
また、天ぷらは今ひとつだったなぁ・・・。
すっかりご馳走になり、大変居心地が良かったのでご主人に再訪を約束。

というわけで、後日約束どおりに再訪。^^/
今度は握り中心で頂いた。
「特上寿司」(1680円)に、追加で何点か。会計は都合3360円(確か)。
特上寿司の内容は、鉄火巻き、玉子焼き、鮪赤身、鮪中トロ、鯛、鳥貝、活〆かんぱち、
甘エビ、ウニ、イクラの10貫。
これに追加したのは、ヒラメ、ヒラメの縁側、カレイの縁側、大トロ2貫、ウニ(海苔なしの握りで)。
なお、この日はオープンセール期間中で大トロは半額(420円→210円)。
特筆すべきはやはりウニとマグロ。大トロは少々筋っぽいものの価格以上の満足を得られるもの。
また、ヒラメの縁側もとても良かった。カレイの縁側と食べ比べをさせていただき、
その個性の違いはクッキリ。
ウニも海苔を巻いたものと巻かないものを食べ比べさせてもらったり。
こちらのお店ではこうしたことが気軽にできるんですよね。
それは、
・手頃な価格でいただけること
・ご主人がサービス精神旺盛であること
・ご主人とお客との距離感が良く気軽に会話できること
などなどの要因があってのことだと思います。そんなお店です。
また、女性店員さんの接客もとてもよいと思います。
皆さん笑顔で、お店全体が明るく楽しそうな雰囲気なんですよ。
お店全体に一体感があるというか。
こんな温かい寿司屋、この価格帯のお店では滅多にないんじゃないでしょうか。
この界隈で知っておいて損はないお寿司屋ではないかと思います。
