近鉄大阪線と橿原線が交差する特急もが停車する大和八木駅
この大和八木駅の高架下にある居酒屋なのであるが、これが大変素晴らしいお店である
L字型カウンターと奥のお座敷からなるこの駅前の店舗は夜2回ほどピークがあるほどいつも大盛況
まず、その日の仕入れで変わる本日のおすすめメニューはおつくりがメインなのに大半の料理が380円と480円だったりする
そして、奈良県には海がないはずなのに泉州さながらのガッチョのから揚げが食べれたりする
380円のトロがつおのおつくりは生姜醤油で食べさせてもらえる
ヒネ地鶏の塩焼きや地鶏せせりのタレ焼き、サイコロステーキなど鉄板で出してくれるなど肉系の料理も美味しい
出汁巻やサクラエビを入れたオムレツなど玉子料理も絶品
この上、お酒も一級品が数多い
ビールはエビスをはじめとするサッポロが中心
日本酒は奈良は御所の絶品の銘酒「篠峯」を中心に「八咫烏」や「梅の宿」など大和の地酒がずらりと取り揃えられている他、なんと どぶろく を呑むことができる
また、梅酒、果実酒やワインもあり、酎ハイサワー、なかでもトマトやシークァーサー割りがありソフトドリンクでもひやしあめなどを置いていてお客を選ばない
先代の弟で如意のお店を引き継いだ口ヒゲの店主 吉野元康さんの天賦の才が仕入れから料理、接客、サービスまですべてにいきわたったお店である
吉野さんは控え目ながら、この他、同じ駅高架下にあるグリルマロニエやラーメン雷文、新しいケーキ屋なども手がけておられる超多忙人なのだ
