仕事を終えて、ちょっと旨い寿司でもとこちらに立ち寄り。昭和大衆感のあるアパートの地下に下りると高級感のある入口で少々ビックリ。
店内に入りカウンターに通していただく。どこか懐かしい雰囲気ながらも清潔で非常に落ち着く。ドリンクをオーダーして、コースのスタートは塩釜産本マグロ赤身のお造りから。
見た目にも美しく本来の赤身らしい旨い物。続いてキンメと白エビのお造り。ピンクソルトとともに炙られたキンメは地金目なのか脂乗りよく、白エビとともにどちらも極めて美味。アワビ丸々1個に続いてあん肝。アワビはもちろん、このあん肝が絶妙な味付けでいくらでもいけそうな物。ここから握り。
塩釜産本マグロの中トロ、ノドグロ炙り、車エビと続く。車エビは店内の水槽から活きた物が出されて"踊り"か"茹で"かを選べる。水槽に泳ぐ車エビは立派な大きさでこれは贅沢!
軽く炙った白子が乗った濃厚な茶碗蒸し、イクラ&ウニの小丼、サワラの幽庵焼きと続き、ウニはクセがなく甘味の強い上質で旨いウニ。そして、早春らしく菜の花、タラの芽、大振りの生帆立貝の天ぷらと続く。それぞれが非常に上品で、お料理も変化に富んでいるので全く飽きない。
ここから再び握りとなり、絶妙な塩梅の本マグロヅケ、飾り包丁の美しい閖上産赤貝、そしてフワフワの煮穴子を煮ツメと塩でいただく。赤だしに季節のフルーツゼリーで〆て、かなり満腹。
これだけ全て旨い物で満たされてこの値段はかなりのお得感かと。聞けば、お家賃が手頃なのでその分を素材に還元できるとのことで納得。一見、迫力がある大将も話してみると非常に柔和で、また訪れたいお店であった。穴場ですな。
