店先の炭火コンロで手際良く次々と焼かれていくうなぎ。
『うなぎの田代』の周りにはとてつもなくいいかほりが漂っています。
この日は愛知県瀬戸市までクルマで遠征。
お店は『地下』ではない『宮前地下街』沿いに。店のすぐ裏の地上部分に共用の広い無料駐車場があります。
鉄道の場合は名鉄瀬戸線終点の『尾張瀬戸駅』から徒歩ルートで650mほど歩きます。
食べたい時間の2〜2.5時間前には現地に着いて予約しておくのが手堅いですし、おそらく開店時間である11時くらいの予約受付が売り切れ限度な感じです。
店先で手際よく鰻を焼く大将から『どうぞ』と呼ばれ、白くかすんだ店内へ。
焼き上がりを待つまでの間、濃厚なフレグランスを堪能できます(笑)
まずは長焼きを頂きます。
溢れ出るジューシーな滋味をわさびと醤油が引き立てて…ただ悶絶するしかありません。
鰻丼(上)はなんと1匹半分の身を使用していながら4200円と驚愕の安さ。
蓋の隙間からはみ出すカワイイうなぎちゃん(笑)ありがちなご飯茶碗ではなく、まぎれもない丼サイズでこのはみ出し具合。
切り身2枚を蓋に移してご飯へのアプローチ容易化を図ります(笑)
おそらくうなぎを炭に寄せて手際よく焼き上げているのでしょう。
皮の部分の焦げ味と骨のチクチクが、コク深い甘辛タレを浴びたうなぎの身を優等生から野性味のある『ワル』に変貌させています。
猛烈に食欲をそそる鰻の美味さに満腹中枢を破壊され、もうご飯が止まりません。

あまりにも強烈な体験に食後しばらくは放心状態。脳内はセロトニンがドパドパです。
