日本料理で一番好きなお店だけど予約は困難でなかなか行くことができない。本当はもっと行きたいけど年に2回いけるだけでもよしとしよう。新橋駅から歩いて8分ほどのところにお店がある。お店はカウンタ7席、調理場も狭く冷蔵庫が大きいものを置けないので1回転のみでの営業となる。

ちょっとした小料理でもとても美味しい星野、最初のとろろ汁から落ち着いた洗練された美味しさを感じる。もちろん素材にはとても拘っている。由良の鱧は最高の美味しさだし、すっぽんもすばらしい。
京味系の定番ずいきの美味しさも溜まらない。その中でも星野さんのはすっきりと一番美味しく感じる。
アワビの唐揚げも最高、蒸した美味しいアワビもいいのだが、この唐揚げが格別。コーンといい揚げ物の美味しさを再認識させられるのも京味系の特徴といえよう。
お値段はお酒を飲んで31000円、でもこの美味しさには値段はつけられない。もともと松川さんも京味さんも3星どころか掲載もしていない。このお店もミシュランの3つ星店以上ものがある。
