We recommend a car or taxi. If traveling by bus, from Murayama Station, take the Murayama City Municipal Bus Yamanouchi-Nagashima-Kitamurayama Public Hospital Line bound for Otorii (Murayama City), get off at "Mori" and walk for 10 minutes (826m), 100 yen. *There are three buses per day, but no buses arrive just after opening. *Operating days: Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays and from December 29th to January 3rd of the following year) Bicycle rentals are available from Murayama Station for 300 yen, from around spring (late March to early April) until the end of November or early December (depending on snowfall, etc. See Murayama City Tourism and Products Association Twitter) Bicycle rentals are available from Oishida Station for 500 yen, from late April to mid-November (depending on snowfall) 2,822 meters from Sodesaki. |

About 200 Suffolk sheep are raised on a small hill. Nishizuka Yohei manages the sheep farming, but he also shows off his skills as a chef. With the mission of "using every last bit of precious life," he not only eats the meat of sheep that are eaten, but also boils the bones to make a collagen soup, and uses all the fat and scraps in a variety of dishes. Domestically produced lamb is a rare commodity, accounting for less than 1% of domestic consumption. Here, you can taste domestically produced lamb from a farmer you know.
SpaceA warm log house
Restaurants is a hand-cut log house built by the owner, Mr. Nishizuka's father. You can relax and enjoy your meal in a warm wooden space. Most of the vegetables used in the salads and Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) are home-grown in nearby fields. You can enjoy lovingly raised lamb and fresh vegetables in a space that feels like it was made by hand. It is a rare restaurant in Japan.
DrinkCarefully selected natural wines and sake
The drinks are carefully selected to bring out the rich flavor of lamb and complement the food. The wine selection includes natural wines from Italy, Yamagata, Hokkaido, and other areas, and for sake, the owner Nishizuka recommends Nara's Kimoto no Dobu, which he sometimes helps prepare. Both are bottles that allow you to see the faces of the makers, as they have developed close relationships with the producers.
