We operate on a two-hour system. Since we start cooking after your order, it takes about 30 minutes for the kabayaki. If you call ahead, we can have it ready at your desired time, but please be punctual. Takeout is also available, but it takes about 40 minutes to an hour. Founded in 1969, this place has a rich history. The owner trained at numerous establishments, but his short temper meant he didn’t stay long at any one place (according to the wife). However, since se
...tting up shop here, he has dedicated himself to preparing, grilling, and steaming delicious dishes. After a period when the well ran dry, he dug down 300 meters to access underground water, which he still uses to keep the eels fresh in barrels. A few years ago, his son-in-law took over the second generation, easing the burden on the owner, who has since mellowed out. This restaurant is also famous for being the favorite eel spot of Soichiro Honda.
