Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1968. Entered the culinary world at the age of 20 and trained at an Italian restaurant in Komaki before going to Italy. Gained experience at the renowned restaurant "Alpino" in Lombardy, Italy. Worked as a sous-chef at the now-closed famous restaurant "Ishiwaki no Ya" in Nagoya.
